My thought process here would be that a game from the 90's would likely be expecting to be played on a PC with much less power than what we have today, so there is probably some code in their somewhere that says "set CPU Speed/GPU Speed to MAX" just to get the best performance from a Pentium 3/4...

That might be good, they could implement it a bit like Apple do, so when you go into recovery, you connect to WiFi and it downloads a fresh recovery image rather than using a (potentially months old) local image.

I don't have need for one, I treat it the same as my phone. Charge at bed time, and that full charge lasts me the day. I never take my charger to work, it always stays home. The only time my charger moves is if I'm staying over in a hotel or something similar.
