    hands-on, let down

Ok, I finally got to play around with it at my local MS store for a few minutes. I was very impressed with the device overall, and especially the screen. I thought the tablet portion was even better than the SP4. However, I actually did notice it wobble more than other laptops. It's not...

    hands-on, let down

That actually would be a huge issue for me. If the screen wobbles at all when typing or using the touchpad on a table that would be really annoying and a deal breaker. Again I'm surprise the MS QC department didn't catch that.

    hands-on, let down

When does the screen wobble exactly? Not on a table while typing hard, right? That would be really annoying if it did. Wonder why the testers would overlook that.

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

Thanks for finding this. Would you say the difference is not significant then? I'm not an expert on CPU performance and would not want to pay $200 more for something I won't really notice. I do intend to play games on it so I would be getting the version with the NVIDIA graphics card.

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

I wish they would provide specific information about the core i5 vs core i7 processors. I want to know if it will make a noticeable difference to have the i7 vs i5, that would justify the extra $200.

    Common Surface Book Questions

I was initially disappointed about this too until I noticed from some of the pictures that you could theoretically flip the tablet portion around and put the laptop in "stand mode" like the Yoga Pro. It might not be the same as a tablet with a kickstand, but at least it's something.

Whoa. New "Surface Book" just shown

Am I the only one that thinks the pricing is too steep for this product? It seems like a great product but is more expensive than a 13" Macbook Pro. Not that I want a Macbook but I actually might consider getting a Thinkpad Yoga 460 instead. I like the product but am disappointed with the...

    Who's getting one?

I can't wait for a 14" model. I definitely prefer the bigger screen size. If they don't release a 14" model I might consider getting the Thinkpad Yoga 460.

Optimizing Surface Pro 3 setup for Windows 10

I was actually hoping that Windows 10 would eliminate having two separate views for tablet vs desktop modes, but while it did improve things over Windows 8.1, it still feels like I’m in a completely separate environment when using my Surface Pro 3 in tablet mode. I was hoping that Windows 10...

Does anyone know if a 14" version is coming out? If so, I want to get it for sure.

larger screen alternative to Surface Pro 3

What's the next best alternative to the Surface Pro 3 if someone wants a larger screen (ie 13+")? I can't seem to find any 13+" 2in1s that have a digitizer pen.

    Cleaning your screen with sandpaper

Hey! I'm totally that guy that uses paper towels and Windex to clean my SP3 screen. I really don't understand what the big deal is. I mean the screen is supposed to be scratch resistant and I have MS complete coverage. In fact the dude at the MS store told me that he accidentally dropped...

    USB drive compatibility issues

Has anyone experienced any compatibility issues when using certain USB flash drives with the SP3? My SP3 sometimes does not recognize my 32gb Transcend USB flash drive and I have to keep inserting and removing it until it finally recognizes it. However it usually recognizes my 8gb Sandisk USB...

Has the surface totally replaced your tablet?

I think the SP3 has done a good job replacing my laptop (would like a slightly bigger screen) but has not replaced the iPad. This has nothing to do with the device itself (which is great) but everything to do with the lack of Metro Apps available. I know many of you disagree and say that you...

    Surface Pro 4 news

We are not saying we want a bigger surface. We want a bigger screen size (=smaller bezel), just like the new Dell XPS 13. I don't think that's an outlandish request.

    Surface Pro 4 news

According to WinBeta, the Surface Pro 4 will likely come in two screen sizes, the current one and a smaller one: http://www.winbeta.org/news/microsoft-reportedly-expected-launch-surface-pro-4-later-year I know it's all speculation at this point, but I would be very disappointed if this is the...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

I'm not that software savy, but noticed that the latest graphics update seems to address some of the Win10 issues on the SP3 (http://www.winbeta.org/news/microsoft-pushes-intel-graphics-driver-update-surface-pro-3-devices-running-windows-10). For those of you who have been running Win10, with...
