    It's is not yet paired with the surface. After pairing then you'll be able to use the pen button. Also install the surface app if you want more pen controls like pressure sensitivity toggling and ability to choose between onenote app and onenote desktop.

    A bit late coming from me, but check the lumens too. Anything less than 350lm is a waste of money. I recently got the Asus P2 projector with 350lm and 1240/780 resolution . I'd say that's the borderline of usability.

    How do I get to desktop?

    There is no desktop mode in win 10. Apps and legacy software all run on the desktop environment. To get to your desktop just close there program or minimize it, or better yet click the start button. Win 10 is something I never envisaged MS would ever achieve. The marriage of legacy and modern apps.

    Help! Win update has been stuck at 44% downloading some security updates and I don't have any way to abort the download and restart. It's not affecting my use of the device, but i figure it might be preventing other updates. Any advice?

    I love it. control panel is for power users (remember) the rest get to use the simpler settings menu. That is why the control panel is kinda hidden.
