Found Solution To SDXC Inaccessibility Woes...

I still like my SP3, it's the best windows device I've ever owned. Just because I gripe about some issues doesn't mean Im ready to throw the towel in. UPDATE: The other day, I inserted one of my wifes old SanDisk SDHC 4GB micro cards into the slot. It has worked perfectly, the longest...

Surface Pro 3 competition heating up

Agreed +1. For all these people saying how the Sp3 is great with the 3:2 screen etc etc, I really could care less. 16:9 works great for me. Sp3 screen is beautiful as well, but I can work on either aspect ratio.

Found Solution To SDXC Inaccessibility Woes...

To me, the very fact that it DOES indeed work, without incidence, in another device, for a prolonged period of time, is a telling sign that it may very well be a hardware issue (albeit minor) with the SP3.

Found Solution To SDXC Inaccessibility Woes...

Did you miss the bit about having it in my asus t100 for a good year or so without incident? And I don't have a precision measurerer. You can mail me one if you like. And it should be noted this is an authentic sandisk ultra 128gb microsd card, so far as I know. Because I purchaed it online...

Found Solution To SDXC Inaccessibility Woes...

That's all very interesting (honestly, pretty cool stuff), but from a consumerist standpoint, I just expect my high-end device to WORK. If these tolerances are so ultra-sensitive, I expect the manufacturer to design the receiving device to adapt to a range of widths and still operate. I'm no...

Well, that's interesting, as nobody mentioned that solution when I had expressed difficulties with my SDXC Drive.

Found Solution To SDXC Inaccessibility Woes...

Looks as if it's a hardware issue after all... Yesterday I was searching on some MS forums about the issue I've been having with the constant "Unable to Access Drive" error I keep getting when I attempt to access the SD drive. I think I may have found a workable solution. It's been about 24...

Why Do Most Windows-Based PCs/Laptops/Ultrabooks Suck? Why Surface Exists:

Two Points: 1)One day I was browsing in best buy, and I saw a keyboard with a mousepad on the SIDE of it (Right side). I think it was a TV/Media type system, but I thought to myself, "Wow, now thats smart!" What a smart place to put it. I realize its not the best when it comes to sizing...

Why Do Most Windows-Based PCs/Laptops/Ultrabooks Suck? Why Surface Exists:

I posted this bc the thread entitled "SP3 competition heating up" features the new Dell XPS ultrabook at the CES 2015. Yet another example of what the article explains. Thank you MS for making the life-saving SP!

Why Do Most Windows-Based PCs/Laptops/Ultrabooks Suck? Why Surface Exists:

Saw this blogpost the other day as I was skimming the 'net. Thought I should share. Main link: http://pando.com/2012/06/24/why-does-every-pc-notebooks-trackpad-suck-or-why-microsoft-is-building-its-own-hardware/ Full Read: There’s something magical about the touchpad on a MacBook. Out of the...

Microsoft hones its plans for closing the App Gap

To me, it seems as if it's lack of third party dev support. For instance, a seemlingly universal app, Wells Fargo mobile banking app, is NOT available on the Windows store. It's like, ummmm, ok, if that isn't even available, then other major/popular apps wont be available, so the end-user ends...

    Surface Pro 3 and MicroSDXC

I have 1 TB with Dropbox, and find its integration, UI, and ease of use, combined with the length of time I've already been using it, makes it a match made in heaven. Also, the universal compatibility with my various I-fevices makes it a perfect fit.

SDXC Card Error: Location Is Not Available; The Device is Not Ready... What?!?

Update: Just re-migrated all my Dropbox crap over to the native SSD... back to flying mode on my beloved SpIII! I wonder if the problem had anything to do with the way in which it was mounted as a VHD to the system? BC I've removed the VHD, and using it as my D:\ drive, and not getting any...

SDXC Card Error: Location Is Not Available; The Device is Not Ready... What?!?

A discount website.... Wait though, I;ve had this same SDcard installed my Asus T100 Transformer for the last 5-6 months, and it's never generated ONE error! How does one explain that?? EDIT: I also noticed that, the more I 'use' the card, (ie: working with files from the drive) it doesnt...

SDXC Card Error: Location Is Not Available; The Device is Not Ready... What?!?

(*Theoretical speeds. Real world = much slower) Ok, so I removed the lil' jibber (after the error ocurred AGAIN) and took a snap of it. See below. Apparently it's labeled an "Ultra" rather than "Extreme". Oh how I feel slighted... <sigh> Very annoyed with this issue. Moving my Dropbox...
