I see what you're saying but no, after what i describe occurs I immediately go to the brightness setting, and its already set to the brightest setting, but a moment before doing that it was indeed brighter. Am I explaining it OK or no?

Anyone else notice every once in a while when bringing the SP3 off from standby (sleep) mode it goes from super-bright (or at least bright-er) then a second later to a lesser-bright? When brightness dial is then checked it's already all the way up/maxed out. What could be the cause for this...

Yep, I see it, it's right down there! (oops, sorry that didn't sound too good! lol) but I really like the ol' swipe! (makes me look cool in front of clients when Im swiping all over the screen!) =) I see a 'Gestures' option in the settings, but there aren't that many toggles... ho-hum..

Are there any on-screen keyboard 3rd party apps out there that are any good? I know about the full sized MS OSK, as well as the default ones (default, split, partial full sized, and writing pad) I still tend to make a lot of mistakes whilst typing in the field in tablet-only mode. Thanks!

I have an SP3 i5 256 and resize, edit, scale/crop, copy/paste, work with PDF insofar as editing, deleting pages/inserting pages with high graphic detail, and I must tell you, this thing is as snappy as it gets. It performs flawlessly, and you know its funny... all my co worker intimdating tower...

its okay.. ive settled into my surface and i m quite happy. still dealing with occasional sleep issues but other than that its great. i dont even use my ipad anymore lol

Personally, I don't type well on the modern, minimalistic chiclet-style fragile button keyboards. Give me an old-school, old-fashioned full-sized IBM PS/2 keyboard with raised keys that make 'click' sound every time u press it, kinda like the Cadillac of Keyboards, lol, and I'll rip out 120WPM...

I tried /sleepstudy, it made some HTML file in windows\system32, and it says page not available when opened with IE. Tried /lastwake, got the 0 string again. Anything else I can do to diagnose this besides hunting for the culprit? Any more command lines I can try? I really want to figure out...
