On my SP4 when I get the black screen, a quick tap of both power and volume button brings the screen back to the lock screen.

Have you guys tried the light press of volume down and power? Not holding them down for a reset. Works for me when I get the occasional black screen.

You need to give it a few days. My battery report is now showing 8+ hours the last couple days. Also, check your backgrounded apps and turn off all the ones you don't need running and notifications too.

I've read that the team is working on this on the reddit ama for Edge and it's really unfortunate that it's not here yet. One of the two main things Edge needs to provide for it to really get usage along with extensions. It's too bad they're so far behind.

If you get the black screen, just press both sleep and a volume key to get the lock screen. I had this happen before and it's happening on my pc at times too when the system doesn't register any input, I sometimes have to turn off my tv and back on and move my mouse for it to sense it.

That's pretty serious. I've never had a blue screen yet. You might have a hardware defect if this is happening multiple times. I'd recommend a reset and if all else fails, a replacement may be in order. I have no such issues. It's working pretty flawlessly so far. Very pleased.
