    Solved Logon surface question

As previously warned, I wouldn't recommend the auto-login in case you lose your SP3, or it stolen. What I did do though is set a PIN code so that I don't have to type in the password now, just a bunch of digits. Maybe you should try that to see if this will help rather than auto-login.

work & watch w/Wireless display adapter

Yup, its direct connection via Miracast / wifi protocol, so no router needed. Using the Microsoft WDA has proven very useful as I do the tv watching and surfing net constantly. :) On occasion though depending on the website or how many tabs I have open, it will start to lag a bit. I remedy this...

    Sad Reality of Apple's Users

I'll add to this... Apple fan PC fan Android fan Burger fan Pizza fan Salad fan :) Beer fan Wine fan :) I use both an Apple and PC for both work and home use. I can speak to the iPad mini I still carry. If there were certain flying apps that were available on the PC that made my use case...

Auto brightness disabled, yet still there. How to get rid of it?

Hmm, maybe it's resolved in Win 10 TP? Setting is off on mine and from what I can tell, it does happen in battery mode once I disconnect power, but I use turn the brightness up 2 or 3 levels to maintain the level before.

    Defect on my new SP3

That little separation could get worse depending on how your handling it in the long run. Do you plan on using a case/cover? If you're using it bare/naked, I would consider returning it. Otherwise it won't functionality but its your call and if you're nearby a store where your purchased it...

    Camera will not initialize

Do a system update for software/firmware and restart to see if it helps. Does Skype crash as well? Is it the Skype MUI version? You can also download the desktop version which I prefer to use.

    Email Client

The advantage is when you're not able to get online, you can view your old emails and create new drafts. Once you're able to connect, you can sync/check for new emails but also send your drafts. Also, without having to login using your email and password, its saved in the client.

    Keyboard

I have the Logitech K810 which works great if you have other devices that need BT. Not quite full size, ie, no numeric keypad, but works great switching between my MBP and Android phone. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Bluetooth-Illuminated-Keyboard-Smartphones/dp/B0099SMFVQ

    Wireless Display Adapter + SP3 = Stutter & Lag

Good point. I'm assuming he's using Microsoft Wireless Adapter: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/wireless-display-adapter I've read other people using other adapters like Roku or firestick with issues but not sure if its the same.

    Wireless Display Adapter + SP3 = Stutter & Lag

What app and/or browser are you using for video playback? I've noticed I had to keep the number of apps open to a minimum to reduce the lag. For instance, for video playback like youtube, I'll use IE instead of Chrome for videos via the wireless adapter. If i'm not streaming to my tv, I'll use...

Well, this is enought, no more Surfaces for me.

I see this too only on boot-up or restarting my system. As long as I don't see this in any other scenarios, I would consider this to be normal. I will try this when watching a movie and in low light situations. As noted by most, it seems to be only on startup. We could be wrong and can only...

    Third-Party Keyboard Support?

I also have the Logitech K810 keyboard. The backlit functionality really helps in a home theater environment but also having it work with other devices is a big plus. Looks like someone reviewed the MS Wedge Mobile Keyboard. Very positive feedback, just not a low enough price or backlit keys...
