I agree that it is not a huge difference on that particular benchmark. It is, however, a step in the wrong direction in a stairwell of many steps in the wrong direction. Performance should improve with updates and if this trend continues then 10 updates form now we are looking at a 10% decrease...

Why does Microsoft insist on writing updates that negatively affect their products. From creating WiFi, battery, instability and many more issues with their updates they should realistically call them downdates. Of course performance on the SP3 out of the box + installing "updates" = decrease...

Many have commented on this. It is something you get used to. If you really dislike it, the keyboard will still work flat and not obstruct access to the bottom of the screen. Why would you consider a USB keyboard and use up the only USB slot? Wouldn't a Bluetooth keyboard make more sense?

Try using a pen to write on a Thinkpad.

I don't know if its just my system but DuOs is a major resource hog. It causes the fan to run continuously and costs me 50% of my battery time (according to battery pro). Otherwise it is a great program.

The one thing the MBA cant do that the SP3 excels at is pen input. The OneNote integration is exceptional. If you are a student, artist or someone who takes a lot of handwritten notes then imo there are no real alternatives to the SP3. If you are primarily doing IOS development then the SP3...
