    Touchscreen Calibration problem?

Ok, I did that and it actually got worse. I reset the calibration have done it several times and rebooted and same thing. This is how my screen is working now. :( So the pen works fine, but the touch input only works on the top and bottom half of the screen. There's a dead area across the...

    Touchscreen Calibration problem?

It has to be flat? I calibrated it while it was upright. I'll try again and post back updates. Hope that was it.

    Touchscreen Calibration problem?

I wasn't having any issues with my screen UNTIL I reset the calibration and recalibrated it. I don't have anything on the screen and it was working perfectly before. I can't close metro UI apps by swiping down from the top of the screen with either the pen or using my finger. I have to use my...

    Umm, I just didn't like it :-(

To the OP. I had a SP2 with the "magnesium" finish that was very problematic and was not very wear friendly. I only had it a few weeks and the finish near the charging port was starting to wear down very quickly. This is a well known issue with others, so Microsoft's fix was to make the...

iTunes movie audio on Sp3 stutters

I'm using a 64GB G.Skill SDXC UHS-1 Class 10 card. Strange. I've had no problems streaming audio and HD video from it. I have a few Blu-Ray rips of my movies for the kids on it. I use VLC media player exclusively for all my audio and video. You can set your iTunes library to anywhere you...

Teamviewer is very handy for remote access. Glad it looks like it will work for you.

iTunes movie audio on Sp3 stutters

I have my iTunes library on my micro sd card as well. I guess it depends on which card you have. Some others have had similar issues with audio playback from the micro-sd card. http://www.surfaceforums.net/threads/music-on-microsd-card-plays-with-breaks.10376/ What's the specific model of...

    Remote Desktop

Yes and no, depending on what tool you are using. Teamviewer is not network specific, but VNC is. Windows Remote Desktop can be both, depending on how your IT department or network is configured. Can you provide more specific details on how you are connecting to this desktop/projector computer?

Sort of surprised about cpu throttling down under load

It shouldn't matter if you know what you're doing and have admin rights on either domain or workgroup systems. And yes, taxing the SP3 and expecting it to function exemplary under all conditions is a bit much to expect.

30 day is all it took to break the glass

I always grab mine at the bottom where the type cover connects, or at one of the top corners.

Only Getting 4hrs of Battery Life

Guess you don't have admin rights on your machine. :) Sorry, that's how I run my department. If you're a domain user, you don't have rights to install anything. This feature alone saves so much headache for IT. Agreed. Be nice to your IT department. They rule your digital life at your...

iTunes movie audio on Sp3 stutters

Are you streaming it or is it already downloaded on to your SP3? I just tried mine and I have no issues. I'm using 11.2.2.3. I have a few movies already downloaded and they run without issue. Do you have any other apps running?

    Remote Desktop

My vote would be for UltraVNC or Teamviewer.

I wasn't using the SP3 screen, but using my dual monitor setup.

Only Getting 4hrs of Battery Life

This is my battery usage for today. I attached the battery report I just ran. I turned on at 8:05am this morning, right now it's 4:51pm and I have 30% battery left. I used the actual SP3 screen for a few minutes this morning, but I have it plugged into a Plugable UD-3900 dock connected by...

    Audio Popping via Headphone Jack?

Yup. The installer removed the old drivers, installed the new ones and then had to reboot and the popping stopped.

30 day is all it took to break the glass

That sucks. It appears that the crack started from a sharp point of impact. Do you have a type cover for it?

Yup. That's the inherent security for joining a domain with a Windows PC.

    WiFi fix coming in September

I'm hoping that the fix comes soon. While it's not a huge inconvenience, but you'd still hope that they can sort out the drivers so that I'm not capped at 72 Mbps for wifi on battery.
