I wouldn't say that it is attached, but simply held there by the magnet. I've noticed this from the get go when I received mine, but it does not hold it there securely so I never have considered it an option to keep it there.

Adrian, well said and welcome officially to the forums. Posts like these give a real, balanced view of new technology. There's always going to be growing pains with anything new. Yes, the updates may take a few rounds of checking, rebooting and checking again before they're done.

I'm having the same issue with a displayport cable. It used to work and recently, it just stopped working. I have a MDP>HDMI cable and it works fine though. I am pretty sure it's not the MDP>DP cable though.

It's been in Chrome for a while now, not just the latest release. I haven't used it, but maybe I'll try tomorrow and see how it fares with battery life.

I noticed that the power wire does kink and bend a lot easier than the SP2 one, but the connector is 100x better.

How about Chrome in Windows 8 mode? I assume these tests were done with Chrome in desktop mode?
