power cover is great, never tried it on just a plain surface, but it doubles the battery on my sp2.

I'm shocked and appalled they haven't made the power cover for the 3. it's a shame. lucky I don't have a sp3 I have a 2. but if I did have a 3 I would get a power cover for the 2 I hear it works just fine

for my 2. i did go 100% commando, then i just kept my keyboard attached. it docks with it on. just dont leave it closed, you might get ghost touch screen clicks for the keyboard. its beter then nothing.

ya, now is the time for people to buy a sp2 if you don't have one. Just get that, a power cover and a dock

it can run on sp2 :D but the screen is a wee bit too small

surface pro 2 and the silliness starts projecting to the tv. then of course going back to default speakers. thanks for the reply. i normally figure small things like this out.

anyone figure out a easy way to deal with the audio while projecting screen? i can get it to work but it's a game of disabling sound cards often

100% in on this idea, ive thought about it many times. keep the surface simple but put the docking station on steroids. ive allready got cd rom, mouse, keyboard,fan, and monitor hooked up the the poor docking station..

welcome, remember docking station REALLY makes it replace your desktop

ya SP2 battery last longer. but SP1 was still nice. your son is 7? dont know if i would trust a 7 year old with not dropping it
