ya ive been at work 8.5 hours and mine is down to 46% left(powercover only). if something isnt on using it it must be a bad keyboard. mines been on (standby) most of the time, but ive had corel and 3dmax up. so im sure that takes some juice

do you have a monitor plugged into it? if not i would try when i turn mine on in the docking station that's what happens but my monitor turns on. ahh wait if you dock it live. does the monitor turn on?

is it because they have software that "has to run" and only been tested in win7?, you might be able to talk them into letting you try it with 8 if you can promise them you wont ask them for help. but if you like me (work for a big bank) then the IT wont budge EVER. OR... if they have a vpn...

for my SP2 it does keep the settings, i dont have too much changed but the screens keep where i set them, when docked 1600/1200 when i pull it out 1600/900 and the audio stays at docked sound when docked and tablet shound when undocked. it's like the whole sliced bread thing all over again. ok...
