You can't have external monitors run at a different scale than the actual Surface. In addition, you must log out each time you change the scaling.

That is probably why I can't buy it; by the time I got my replacement it had probably been 45 days. I feel Microsoft really screwed me over on this one, especially since they led me to believe I had purchased it.

I didn't purchase it when I purchased my Surface. When I had to return it to Microsoft a month later I thought it would be a good idea to get one since I was already having problems. I believe it allowed me to purchase it for the replacement unit serial number but after my case was closed it...

I've sent one unit back already but now I think it was a bad hdmi cable and not a bad unit. I would buy the extended warranty if I could just because it is not that much.

How hard is it to peel that off? Does it leave a sticky feeling all over the original?

No, I have a type cover.

It isn't very loud so it's not that annoying but still, I'd like to turn it off. I think there must be a speaker either inside the mini usb port or under the plastic part near the middle. If your unit is defective I wouldn't return it unless you really like to hear clicky noises ;)

The surface isn't making the noises, they are actually coming from the adapter. Unfortunately doing a refresh isn't exactly easy; I have many programs installed that require un-registering and re-registering. I guess I'll wait and see if anyone else has this issue. Yours doesn't make noise...

I just received this today from Best Buy. Do any of you guys know how to turn the sound off? I notice when I left click on the trackpad either the type cover or the wireless adapter is making a "click" noise. I already turned the sound off for the cover when it is connected directly to my SP2.

I've seen this page. I am assuming the port is just for charging?
