I imagine it doesn't take the full amount consistently for all monitors. you would have to be running like 4K videos on all three monitors at the same time perhaps. But just having a monitor sitting with an email open, another on a web page, and a third on a video isn't going overload the setup...

No idea but I've read about people having to use 2 display port cables to get 5K out of their 5K monitors so I don't know if you can use a Surface Book with a Dock and hook it up that way.

Somebody else smarter than me will have to help with that but you can right click on Display Adapter and scan for hardware.
