Actually I < DID > search for it. I went to the Metro / Start screen ( wish to hell they would settle on a name ) and typed Paint in the text box in the bottom left and it brings up a bunch of kiddie apps etc. but did not bring up the old Paint program like in 8.1 I am going searching for it...

Today I wanted to save a screen clip and wanted to paste it into Paint? Discovered THERE IS no Paint anymore. Why the hell did they take that away? They had already programmed it for 8.1 and shouldn't have been too difficult to port to W10. Anyone know a decent Paint app?

Those options might work, but I was hoping to eliminate one bill. I can go this route if I have to but am hoping to figure something else out although the odds don't look too promising :(

Exactly. The tablet has front and back cameras just exactly like a phone. And the pic is cute but also truthful. I see people walking around with the damn things glued to their ear constantly. They can't take a breath unless they are talking to someone or vice versa.

I saw a commercial for Surface 3 that said it had 4g LTE --- does that mean you can use the tablet to make phone calls instead of carrying a phone and a tablet around? It has NEVER made sense to me that they didn't design a phone into every tablet from the word go.

Update: I finally got Paperport to < run > after a couple of reboots but although it says it recognizes the scanner it won't connect to the scanner. Same thing for Windows Scan. They both list the scanner as the active scanner so I know it finds and recognizes the scanner but it won't connect...

Paperport 14 < was > working on earlier builds but since the last release ( 240 ) it hangs up and goes unresponsive and I have to use Task Manager to kill it. Anyone found a solution? Paperport 14 is the latest version.
