Not backlit? No buy from me. Backlit feature is easily disabled for those that want to squeak out every minute of battery life. For me, I want it on.

Get the MS Complete warranty. I had a small scratch on my display. Not really sure how I got it, but I took it to the store and they swapped it our without question. I'm well beyond the 30 day warrant, too. Get MS Complete. It has served me VERY well, indeed!

My LG TV has built in widi and I am able to project to it with my SP2. From the charms bar, I click on Devices. Then to Project. Then to Add Wireless Display. It was a little tricky getting it to work, but I was able to do it without any adapters. I think that's how I did it, anyways.

I just tried it and I didn't get the problem. It went into hibernation... pushed the power button to wake it up... the task cpu spiked to 40% or so for a few seconds... then it resumed as normal. I was just running Chrome with 3 tabs open. 64GB SD card is in. You can see the spike below:

At what settings? Full brightness on High Performance power settings? Tweak your power settings. The only thing I have on "maximum" is my wifi adapter. Everything else is dialed down when unplugged. I get 6-7 hours with normal use.

I've replaced my SP2 twice in the store. They gave me a new one right out of their inventory. Although, I did purchase my original in the store and have the Complete warranty, too.

I asked them the same question. Basically, they process a return including the warranty. Then they process a re-purchase with the new Surface and the warranty attached to it. So there isn't a transfer, really. It's all on one receipt so you see the return then purchase, with a zero balance...

Was it being exchanged FOR a unit with updated CPU? That's the only reason mine was being sent back. If I get an old unit I'll take it to a retain store for an exchange.

LOL! Well, if you sold a Type Cover that EXTENDED around the backside of the Surface, I'd buy that! I'm not really worried about protecting the screen, especially since the covers do that already. But I'm worried about scratching the backside where the kickstand is. So invent a Type cover...
