By default, the SP3 has a display at 150%. And my Chrome looked terrible, too. I changed the display to 125% and then increased Chrome's magnification to 150%.... it looks pretty good now!

Downloading and installing software from Amazon is different than other sites. I bought Acrobat Professional and I have to use Amazon's installer. Did you go to Amazon's "Games and Software Library"? Have you contacted Amazon for support?

I would look at the Power Plan. Try bumping it to High Performance. I would sense sluggishness when it was in Power Saver mode. Maybe the graphics rendering was throttled down? Or maybe the wifi strength is pegged down a notch. Not sure. But browsing is snappier in High Performance mode...
