I don't think anyone should be using a SP4/Surface Book as a business device for the next 6 months. Use something that is proven, like anything else running under Windows 8.1.

Hopefully MS keeps the firmware updates coming and increases the quality of this trackpad. I want to believe in this product!

My point is to compare like to like features, not things that don't exist on either one. F.e., I wouldn't hold the lack of Force Touch against Surface Book. But I would expect the touch pad to work as good as a Macbook trackpad pre-Force Touch for $1499 entry price. Why have lesser expectations...

What I'm saying is for a device that starts at $1499 the trackpad should have been Macbook quality on Day 1.

I know you are mocking my response, but seriously they rushed this thing out to the public with a bazillion deal-breaker issues! If this were Apple, the media would be going berzerker!

At least with the Apple Pencil you can draw straight diagonal lines, unlike on any Surface tablet. I think that matters to digital artists, no?

I don't think Microsoft will ever fix this, so for you digital artists you can go back to Wacom and iPad Pro. Microsoft says "sayonara". The pen remains perfectly fine for One Note, doesn't need perfectly straight lines. I suspect N-Trig tech is vastly inferior to Wacom and will never catch up.

Microsoft has their "Patch Tuesday" where the big monthly update goes out the first Tuesday of every month to Windows, XBox and Surfaces. That would mean Nov 3, but I wouldn't count on a Surface fix by then.

No the guy said while the Surface had issues with WiFI, his iPad didn't. Then somebody else said "well just go use your ipad" in a bullying manner.

Just the sheer amount of ridiculous issues that are cropping up makes me wonder if MS did any testing/QA at all with these devices!

Well iPads "just work" even if they aren't as "productive" as Surface CAN BE if it wasn't a buggy mess! Also what is with this trend I see on Microsoft forums where if people express delight with Apple products they get bullied?

You would think a premium device like would not have basic issues like this. You never hear about Macs not going to sleep mode. OTOH, if they can't get "Connected Standby" to work properly, just eliminate it. This is how Apple works, by KISS(Keep it Simple Stupid) approach.

Without hard numbers, that doesn't mean squat. As far we know, they've made 100 and sold 100. With all the issue we've seen, 50 have been returned.
