The thing is, it no longer has to be that way, and now, because of that decision, the Surface 3 is in the unenviable position of having battery life at the very low end of modern tablets, and the longest charging time.
The difference is, IMO, that the iPad is generally used without a keyboard. The overall number of keyboards sold is tiny compared to the overall number of iPads. The vast majority of people who buy an iPad will never want a keyboard for it.
The Surface, however, is a different story when it is...
Battery life is a bit of a let-down, and the charging time even more so. I'd say that's borderline unacceptable. It really illustrates the fact that they should have just bit the bullet and gone USB-C for charging. They could have gotten normal charging performance, and when they have to...
Updating to Win Pro is one of the options in the configuration page.
Whether available on Atom chips or not, TPM is still a pro feature because few to no average consumers care about it. They have to cut some stuff to hit the $799 entry point, which will be sold largely to regular folks...
Dell XPS 13. Starts at $799. +$50 to meet the Windows Pro requirement.
I guess you need to go the the i5-5200u to get TPM - but that still falls under your $1000 price ceiling. You are asking for pro level features here. Those tend to cost extra money.
I gather that as of the last month or so the stock Intel video driver might now support this resolution without installing the generic Intel driver. If so, you may just need to set the custom resolution at 50hz and it will work.
Do you have the Intel HD Graphics program running in your system...
Yeah, palm rejection definitely isn't quite as good in journal. I'm not sure I could tell any meaningful difference one way or another without trying it myself though in Win 10. The difference is fairly subtle - but I feel that Journal just feels a bit more natural to me, so I can relax into the...
I've spent some time going back and forth between journal and OneNote MUI this morning and unfortunately there is no question - journal's inking feels far more natural. Onenote seems to overly smooth things so everything gets rounded off. The cursor pointer is also far less distracting in...
All I mean is that it has become clear over the years that differing skin types have different luck with these kind of touch-sensitive devices. Some people have constant trouble with fingerprint sensors of all types. For others they work virtually first time every time. Some people think the...
I understand that. But the original question related specifically to being able to stream his music on his home network. Which is free, and requires him to do nothing but to navigate to the appropriate section in iTunes and start playing the music.
iTunes Match is the service if you want...
It's only FREE if you don't value your time at anything. He's already invested in a system. A system that provides exactly what he wants, ALSO for free, or offers a more flexible and powerful option for the trivial sum of $25 a year.
Guys, if you don't know the answer, don't have any idea how the software in question works, the most helpful thing is to refrain from answering and suggesting that someone moves to an entirely new music service when the one he is already invested in provides multiple ways to do exactly what he's...
I have it and have no issues with the scrolling. Given that it's touch sensitive, I suspect that how well it performs is somewhat dependent on each individual person - much the way that touch pads and fingerprint sensors are as well.
Bumping this thread because I literally just ran into this program by accident with a stray click that opened it up. I didn't even realize it existed.
I like the simplicity of this app - there are times where having a dedicated, fixed workspace is nice compared to OneNote.
What I'm confused...
Not likely for the SP4 which will continue to use the same 15w parts as the Sp3 necessitating a fan. There is room for a Core-M variant, but I think with this Atom release, Core-M is not likely in the Surface lineup, except possibly as a replacement for the i3 SP3 where much of its benefit will...
I think the Office 365 plus unlimited OneDrive storage is still a bit better deal unless you have absolutely no need for Office.
