It appears in display settings and will allow me to extend monitors but the monitor still gets no signal. Then if I click "Detect Monitors" it says there is no monitor. Weird.

Is anyone running 10135 having problems connecting to an external monitor?

10135 has no updates offered and runs VERY smoothly for me. Maybe those struggling with updates should try that instead? Only downside is I had to do full wipe to get 10135 to install.

Recommend installing latest Chrome Beta and in options tell it to turn off all Chrome background processes when browser is closed (towards the bottom of advanced options).

I noticed this last night. After 2 days on 10135 and Avast running nearly silent, the fan last night decided to go nuts and the back got very hot. I give up trying to figure this out. It's does seem that the fan circus tends to begin after using the computer in tablet mode. Dunno.

No updates available on 10135 build. Guess Windows isn't recognizing that. :-)

One thing I've noticed with Avast is I'm getting some buffering issues using the Netflix app I wasn't getting with Defender. No idea if this is merely a coincidence.

Subconscious childhood pirate fantasies? I know it sounds like I'm joking but I honestly don't have a better reason.

Avast has also caught a couple nasties that I think Defender was missing. One was from a .js for a link I didn't even visit while on a trusted site. So far I like the Avast interface. Pleasant without being intrusive.

I'm still in shock that all that fan business was just Defender. Crazy. :) But I guess it makes perfect sense. Totally diggin' the silence.
