I presume you've done a shutdown or a cold reboot since the first successful application of the firmware?

Email folders (not inbox, but folders) not syncing in Outlook 2013

Try this... Go to Folder tab, IMAP Folders, All, hit the Query button to populate the list, then select the folders you want (perhaps all of them?)

    Disable Connected Standby

When I tried that registry key, it also disabled the traditional S3 sleep mode. So, for example, on the menu I had "shutdown, logout, restart"... with no sleep in the menu at all. Is there a way to disable just the new Connected Standby without also disabling traditional S3 sleep?

Normal Battery Loss during 4:00 hr Connected Standby before auto-hibernate?

I'm confused... I didn't think that the SP3 went into "full hibernate" while under connected standby. According to the link below, hibernate is only used when there is a critical low battery alarm. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn481218(v=vs.85).aspx

    Replacement Security Update

Microsoft has released a replacement update for 2982791, and is recommending that you uninstall the old version and then let Windows Update install the new replacement version https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/ms14-045.aspx I think I am seeing an improvement to an issue of...

My new SP3 already just paid for itself

Take a screen shot To take a snapshot of your screen, press and hold the Windows button on your Surface, and then press the volume-down button. The screen dims briefly when the screen is captured. A picture of the screen is saved in the Screenshots folder, which is in the Pictures folder

External display turns off when tilting SP3

Try this... hold it "up in the air" while flat, put you finger over the camera "hole". Connect the cable and make sure everything still works. If so, then move your finger from the camera hole and see if that triggers it.

    SP1/SP2 Power Cable Versus SP3

My wife could never get the SP1/2 cable to connect (Shhh... do tell her I said that!) She has no trouble with the SP3 cable.

Do you have a microSD card installed? I'm currently trying to see if this behavior is related to the "disappearing SD card" issue.

Best 2TB external USB 3.0 drive for SP3

How about an alternative way of thinking... Why not consider a WiFi-connected Network Attached Storage (NAS) box. This would obviously not be portable... as it would be sitting on a desk somewhere. But, you could access it via WiFi from practically anywhere (like a private cloud). They are...

    New Firmware Out

On the previous firmware update, I had to manually apply them (using the instructions here: http://digitalmediaphile.com/index.php/2014/07/09/how-to-manually-install-the-july-surface-pro-3-firmware-updates/) I suspect that you could perform similar steps for the August update as well.

Did Your SP3 Come with BitLocker Fully Enabled?

So, I wonder if it's just the i7/256 models that didn't have it enabled from default? I also wonder if the "little yellow triangle" had to do with me turning off "secure boot" in the UEFI BIOS (and nothing to do with me running the BitLocker setup). Since I re-enabled secure boot at about the...

Did Your SP3 Come with BitLocker Fully Enabled?

OK, I'm confused... When I got my i7/256 SP3 I had a "little yellow triangle" icon together with the traditional padlock icon overlay for BitLocker. I had assumed that the yellow triangle was because I had not yet run the BitLocker "setup/configuration". I did an "image backup" of my entire...
