Well, this is enought, no more Surfaces for me.

Really? Those screens look like garbage. Horrible bleeding. I feel for OP, as I went through 5 Surfaces myself for similar reasons. Count yourself lucky if you got a problem free device.

I just realized MS lied to us all!

Completely wrong. You have no idea how many iterations of various tablet devices MS has been working on. And the Surface table? How do you connect the dots with that to the Surface pro tablet? It's a completely different genre of design... Here's an example of one of MS's tablet prototypes...

New 3rd party dock in town

Looks way more portable though, good find OP.

    Keyboard cover randomly not working

Maybe before you do, go to a store that has Surface's on display, and try out the display typecovers on your device just to make sure that it's not the Surface itself, as I went through this once as previously mentioned where I had a typecover replaced, got home, then found out that it was...

    Keyboard cover randomly not working

Have had this happen on a few SP3s before I returned mine for good - first few instances it was the typecover, and replacing it fixed the issue - one time it was the SP3 itself, where it no longer recognized any typecover attached to it, and I had to get the unit itself replaced. Take it in to...

Top metal bezel of the Surface not completely flush

Normal - the casing on the SP3 needs a bit more QA imo. Every Surface I've looked at and owned, also has an issue with the glass screen not being completely flush against the casing - like in some, it overlaps a bit, while on others, it's very recessed so that the glass edge feels sharp - and...

    HP Envy X2 Core M

Have seen it at best buy - it's pretty much just portable within your house/apartment - far to large to bother taking anywhere remote. The 13.3 inch version is also incredibly hefty. I couldn't imagine taking it to school or anything like that as it'd just be a huge distraction to everyone...

    Do you use screen protectors?

Had the MS tempered glass version for my SP3, worked well - although after about a week it cracked/chipped slightly. Took it back to the MS store, and no questions asked got a new one. Best thing is if you can get it in the store they'll apply it for you so it's perfect, and you wont have to...

Want to love my SP3, but Windows makes it oh-so-hard...

Think your main issue is that you're using it basically as a tablet first, when it's more primed towards being a laptop than as a tablet, at least from my experience - and if that's the case, it might not be the best device for you usage. Kinda sounds like you'd be better off with a dedicated...

    New SP3 Kickstand Wiggle

Agreed - I'd have been tempted by that machine if not for the horrible Beats bezels they've stuck on the left and right of it. Right away makes it impractical to carry around and pretty much limits it, at least in my scenario, to around the house usage. Interestingly enough, the keyboard on...

    New SP3 Kickstand Wiggle

Yep, all of them have it. I went through 5 SP3's, each one had the wobble at certain angles. Feels like a rush job more than design decision imo - look at the HP Envy x2 at best buy to see a kickstand hinge done right. Firm friction at every angle, wider, and has a soft/rubber layer on the...

Surface Pro 3: Six Months Later

I think mainly where this is true, is that tablets are pretty much consumption devices - they're for browsing or watching videos, etc - and you'll eat through the battery on the SP3 pretty quick if you want to experience the full tablet experience (ie not dimming the screen to 30% for a movie)...

    Is this normal?

Strange issues... don't take offense to this question, but have you used touch screens before? Because when my parents tried out my SP3 they would always fail miserably at getting touch responses - like they'd touch the screen and slide their finger as they did it, or didn't touch strongly...

    Trident Cyclops Case

Says it has a built-in stand - so I doubt you can use the kickstand on the SP3. Also, just from the pictures they show, it actually looks bulkier than the UA case imo... Best wait for someone to post a video on youtube or something before buying if you're worried about bulk and the kickstand.

All About i3 Surface Pro 3

The Core M devices should have better battery life, but many OEMs are putting in smaller batteries which in the end give around the same amount of battery life while promoting weight and thinness... The Dell Venue Pro 7140 doesn't though, and is an example of how Core M can trump Haswell PCs on...

    Type cover opinions

Does the bouncy/springy feel when you're typing not bug all of you that like the typecover? I found I preferred it when the cover was on the ground as it just felt more like a real keyboard.

    Type cover opinions

I have the latest version which is intel core m - benchmarks right around the i5 SP3, maybe 5-10% less, and supports 8g ram and 256 ss drive, the SP3 isn't at all a powerhouse in comparison - more powerful, yes, if we're talking the i7, but not leagues better by any means - and the battery on...

Surface Pro 3: Six Months Later

If they make a legitimate keyboard, you could easily fit an extra usb in there, as well as an extra battery...

    Type cover opinions

It's pretty terrible in my opinion OP, and apart from hardware issues I had with the SP3, was one of the main deciding factors in my going with a different product, (eventually settled on the core m dell venue pro 11 - which has an amazing detachable keyboard and 20 hour battery life). The type...

I got 2 hours of battery life!?

I think basically just keep the brightness down - that's the biggest battery saver, and turning wifi off if you're not using it probably helps a lot too. Andy yeah, having multiple tabs open is pretty brutal on the battery - I've had to train myself to keep the tabs to a minimum and not queue...
