Microsoft Edge drains the battery in sleep really bad. I did some detective work, and found that it was the only thing running. When I shut down Edge, I get a lot better battery life.

Welcome. I have a Surface Pro 3, but we just bought our daughter a Surface 3, and she really likes it a lot.

No, not at all! I was just posting our personal experience with both. We hadn't even planned to get an S3, but Microsoft talked us into it. They actually talked us out of getting an i5, like mine. They didn't even suggest an i3, which I find a little odd.

We just bought a Surface 3 for our daughter, and she loves it. I have been experimenting with it, and my own Surface Pro 3. I like them both, and felt guilty, at first, that our daughter's S3 wouldn't be as powerful, but she has had zero problems. She even plays Minecraft on it.

My Google mail app just stopped working after I received some updates. I really hope the next set of updates fixes that.

Ok, I only got 7 hours of battery life, down to 10%. I did not change my habits either. Before DLing Win10, I was getting about 10 hours. Yes, I know Win10 is an evaluation copy. I just hope they fix this issue in the final build.

Let your SP3 sleep when you aren't using it. It will cool down while you are away.

Apparently, Windows 10 is also a massive battery hog. Win10 is the only new program I've downloaded, and no more Chrome either. Is this also a common problem?

I got this as well, and I am also on the "reserve list."

Same with me, but I'm back to using strictly IE again. Chrome had a nervous breakdown on me the other day, and I didn't feel like dealing with it, so I deleted everything Chrome.

Call Microsoft. They are the only ones that can help you at this point.
