Yes, it does. With ClipaVu open on two computers, it will sync its contents across the network. Haven't tried more than two, since I don't have the need, but could do it if you want.

Russ
Thanks, Scotty. That worked.
I made the RegEdit, then searched for updates. Picked up two updates, and the Awesome Error 9933 did not reappear. One of the updates (Nvidia) required a Reboot, so rebooted and all is Ok.
To save a step, here is the direct link to the fix...
Thanks, Jeff. Just FYI, it blocks a preceding update from installing, but, at the moment, it is only a Windows Defender definition update, so no big deal.
Take care,
Russ
Thanks, Jeff. Some of us are from Bygone Eras, ya know.
Is that correct that Developer Preview follows Consumer Preview? Intuitively, it would seem the other way around.
Take care,
Russ
I updated to Build 9926 the other day, then, this morning, I was offered an update to AWESOME 9932 (sometimes it is 9933), but it would not install.
I checked around and find that this is a mistake. That upgrade was intended only for a "small circle of affiliates," and the 9926 build has a...

No, it is not, but neither is it claimed to be. We are still several iterations away from Beta status.
There are always lots of folks complaining about Preview/Beta software, especially if it's from Microsoft. It's a law of nature, kinda like gravity.
Take care,
Russ

Latest build is 9926. Your current build number is on screen. If you need the new ISO, and you're still having internet speed problems in Win10, you may want to download it in Win8. It is about 3.7G.
Like you, I am running Win10 on a spare drive on a desktop machine (in a spare...
Wayne,
Holy cow! This thread is still alive?! I think this thread is older than the forum. :-) Good to hear from you.
The InfoCircuit battery is still working well for my Ladyfriend, but hers does not get the extensive and frequent use that yours gets.
Take care,
Russ

I assume your Bravia TV has Wi-Fi Direct since your SurfacePro found it. I found a Sony web page that discusses it:
https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34488/~/how-to-set-up-the-tv-to-connect-a-wi-fi-direct-capable-device.
I can't test it because my set is older and...

You are close, just missing something, but I know not what. I use Project/Duplicate, not Mirror. In Desktop mode, Right Click on the Desktop and choose Screen Resolution. Make sure the settings in there are consistent with what you are trying to do. Also, your TV must have a...

Perchance, have you recently added a second display via the MiniDisplay port? If so, that will interfere with your ability to connect to the TV. You can't do both (at least not on an SP1.) You can choose between them by going to the "Connect to a different display" at the bottom of...

The "Project" feature is in the charms menu under Devices. Yes, it works with Surface Pro 1. My TV is older, but I can project to it via a Roku3.
Note: If you are running a second display from the MiniDisplay Port, you will not be able to connect to the TV.

Russ

I'm running a USB3 hub off the USB3 port on the docking station, and it is adequate for both DVD drive and USB hard drives. I have run the DVD drive off the USB port on my SP1. Drive is USB2, for whatever that's worth.

Russ

Therein lies the beauty. I think the SP3 is actually smaller than my bleeding-edge TRS80-100. The overall form factor is about the same, but the SP3 is thinner.
Thanks for a good chuckle as I read your copy about the "string handling capabilities of the 8K ROM." Massive...

Exactly so. Thank you. We had a community project for accessory power back then, and Mike was also helpful with technical advice, since he had testing capabilities that most of us lacked. There were some fun times -- like discovering that the 3rd party "Pro charger" was really an RT...

That is an excellent unit. I got one for Ladyfriend to use on the Atlanta/Tokyo leg of her travels (and return). That's about 15 hours of on-plane time, and she likes to watch movies on the SP1. Given its weight, she doesn't lug it around on her in-country travels, instead leaves...
Hi, Chris --
Thanks for the heads up. I had not had occasion to do that, so it was just lurking in wait to mystify me.
She is excited about the idea of having the SP3 as her primary computer, as it avoids a common occurrence of being at the office, or worse yet, Shanghai, and needing the...

"Need" is, of course, a very relative term, and I tend to address my "wants" long before I get around to my "needs."
I don't need to ebay the other stuff when I stop using it. I have grandchildren who love to get my "cast-offs."
Ladyfriend may be spoiled, but I am a lot moreso...
