    N-trig

I tried with my Surface Pro 2, which uses Wacom, and I can tell you my lines also waves, and I used a ruler. I think it is a limitation of these mobile system with digitizer on screen. Probably to save power because this technology requires the digitizer to always get power, even when not in use.

    SPro4 Rear camera issue?

Image graining is due to the small camera sensor. That is a perfect example that megapixels (mp) means nothing. A really large sensor will make the camera really big but will capture a massive amount of low light giving you a sharp crisp low light picture as you see it in real life. That is why...

    Question about start up

Yea, sounds like hybrid sleep in action, which is what you described. Personally I always disable it, even on my laptop before I got my Surface Pro. But I have tendency to know if I am going to use my system soon after (so I put it to sleep), or won't (turn off. It boots really quickly).

Does the SB have auto-dimming screen?

The Surface line has 2 features, one that is implemented by Microsoft on purpose, and the other it is Intel crap that you can't disable: The laptop feature an ambient light sensor which control the back light of the LCD display based on the environment you are in. That can be disabled in the...

    SPro4 Rear camera issue?

Microsoft released (just now) a new update to the Camera app in Windows 10 fixing issues related to the cameras of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. Make sure you have the latest version of the Camera app (Open the store, click on your profile picture next to the search bar at the top right, a...

    Question about start up

Does the problem persists? If not, then I can only think it went to hibernate, and when you pressed the power button, it got stuck restoring the session. If that is the case, as the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book uses the latest technologies from about all parts used in the system, it is...

Day 2 with SB - Uh Oh

I have to agree Johnh2803, because reviewers had a great experience with the device. Some did notice bugs, but once they got the review system, Microsoft gave them a 'reviewer guide', which mentioned the problem and will be fix soon. Already, Microsoft fixed a lot of the issues by updating the...

Is dGPU not working when the screen is flipped?

When you switch your screen direction or detach it, be sure to close all programs. This is a drawback with all systems with switchable graphics, sadly. The big problem is that Intel + Nvidia or Intel + AMD don't work together. The drivers made by Nvidia are hacked up drivers to inject rendered...

Day 2 with SB - Uh Oh

Hmm interesting... based on the issue listed here, it all points to me that the issue is bad Intel drivers.

    DoubleClick with touch?

Plugin bug. You can see that the touchscreen is fine as it behaves correctly if you don't play the game. You can consider Unity Webplayer to be soon gone in the near future as Chrome and Firefox will drop plug-in support. Edge has already pulled the plug. All 3 will only keep Flash. The big...

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

GPU-Z uses Nvidia driver APIs to offer all it does. (Same for all overclocking software, it is all Nvidia API going through their drivers, beside GPU firmware replacement). It is easy to go up, as well as down. Except if you have a highest end GPU, then it is hard to go up. The reason is the...

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

The 940M has 2 versions. (I know, it is a mess) GM107 and GM108. GM107 is uses PCI-E 16x, while the GM108 uses PCI-E 8x (version 3.0 on both), and they are other variations in the specs. They both support GDDR5 and DDR3 (not GDDR3). Have a look at this: GeForce 900 series - Wikipedia, the free...

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

Not really. A GeForce 980 will do the trick to be honest. Now, if you want max max max settings, you need lots of memory speed and quantity. Actually, in most cases you need either or. It really depends on how the game engine works in loading textures. But you want both if you want great...

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

Yes. That is like saying "Minesweeper" in the gaming world. Basically, low demanding games. It was a nice way of saying "not for gaming" or "sucky GPU, but better than Intel", in a presentation full of journalists and blogger not computer savvy. Here is what you get with the Nvidia GPU: ->...

I don't think so, because that space is filled with battery. That means less battery to the device.

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

The GPU isn't really made for gaming. You'll most likely get a more performance over Intel offering (remember the resolution of the laptop isn't 1080p (1920x1080), but much higher (3000x2000)), the 1GB GDDR5 will help A LOT in gaming performance over using system RAM, but that is it. Microsoft...
