Hi, I'd say if you are looking for excellent handwriting recognition and pen integration, then yes you want a Surface. Otherwise @hughlle is correct, there are other devices that will meet your requirements. I'm partial to the Surface though... ;)

True. The newer the router, the less chance you will have of compatibility issues with your SP3. Also don't forget to make sure your router firmware is up to date as well.

I don't believe so, but I'd be happy if they did bring it back. I used it heavily in Metro IE.

I think the only danger/difficulty, is that the SP3 screen is not really made to removed, it is heavily glued with some serious adhesive. So if your screen is already damaged then yeah, you're good to go probably.

I second what Jeff said above. My brand new, out of the box SP3 was so buggy, it was so frustrating. Three weeks later I did a full reset on it, and it was a properly running machine after that.

If you can afford it, I would. After the operating system takes its share, 2GB is not much...

I'm on the latest Win 10 build. I'm not as heavy a OD user as you are, but do have a good deal of content stashed there and I access it frequently. I shut my WiFi off just now, and had no issues getting to my content. I did get a notification that popped up that reminded me that I was off-line...

Windows Updates issues are often difficult to pin down, and often frustrating. :mad: The following fix has worked on 2 different PC's that I've worked on, plus my own SP3. It very well may not work for you, so YMMV... Do Win+X and click on Search, and then type Services. Open the Services...

Just letting you know, Intel doesn't have much to do with it. Microsoft takes the Intel driver and then tweaks it for compatibility with Connected Standby and power usage. Lots of folks do of course just use an Intel driver because it offers more fine-tuning controls. I do agree though, it can...
