    SPro3 i5 Core 4GB RAM vs 8GB Ram

I would be right there with you on the usage, except my problem is that in the course of researching something, I'll leave several/many tabs open in a browser window for a few days. Then I'll open another window and have a few tabs open there as well for something else. Not everyday mind you...

    Surface Pro 3 Issues

As far as troubleshooting goes, I just think it's a lot faster to get to the heart of an issue and see right away what's fixable and what's not.

    Surface Pro 3 Issues

HI, welcome to the forum! I've edited the title of your thread, since there actually is a "Surface Pro" device, and you have Surface Pro 3. I can tell you from experience, that Chrome is not an ideal choice on the SP3. It is coded in such a way that it forces the processor to run at a higher...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Noted. And kind of a bummer, was hoping it was something at least predictable, if not especially easy to work around.

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 2 other members who chimed in, and did not have the old photo viewer, also did clean installs. The thinking may be that updating from Win 8 keeps the app on the system, but doing a clean install to Win 10 doesn't have it all.

First, press and hold the power button for a full 30 seconds. Try to turn it on after that. If that doesn't work, then press and hold the power and volume up buttons for 15 seconds. Try to turn your SP3 on after that.

    Mouse/Web Pages Help

Welcome Andrew! Which browser are you using? And is it just a single page that is the problem, or all pages? Also you specifically mentioned the Wedge mouse- are you saying this behavior doesn't happen if you use the touchpad on TypeCover, or a different mouse?

Panos Paney promoted to run all premium hadware lines

What do you find interesting about it? I've only seen him in the keynotes, announcements, etc, and what I've read on Twitter. But I've like him so far, seems like a good personality.

How to move Onedrive folder to SD card

Welcome! Yes, you can format an SD card as NTFS. It's not as ideal a storage medium as the SSD, but it will work. After you format it as NTFS, you'll want to be sure to use "Safely remove..." before you remove the SD card for some reason. In File Explorer you'll find your OneDrive folder...

    Windows 10 and battery life

The man ^^^ speaks the truth. I love Chrome, I use it daily on my desktop at work, but it is a resource hog. On my SP3, it drains the battery faster and my machine runs warmer, not to mention that it consumes much more RAM then does IE. I am on Win 10, and I use IE almost exclusively on my SP3.

Netflix CEO Warns that a Price Increase is Coming in the Future

I agree it is most likely your Internet, or something between you and your provider. Netflix is usually an excellent experience for me at home.

    Strange issue about IE

+1 for GreyFox7's suggestion (Internet Options> Advanced). This has fixed for me in the past numerous strange issues with IE. You'll just have to re-import your settings etc. afterwards, but you are tech savvy so that should be quick work for you.

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

No doubt there will still be some way to extract the files from a Win 7 or 8 machine and run it on 10. Someone smarter than me could probably figure it out.

Surface 3. Recommended it to me?

At the end of the day, the Surface 3 will do what you want it to do, but I personally believe the experience will be better with more RAM. But I also understand if you can't afford the 4GB model. So buy the experience that you can afford... :)

What to do when increasing desktop scaling alone isn't enough?

YES! I have to use RDP almost daily, and this was one of the first issues that was almost a deal-breaker, had it not been resolved. You want Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Manager, here is a prior post I did on it-...
