    Power Cover battery life

I bought the Power Cover a few weeks ago. I've had mixed results with battery life. I seemed to me that it was draining faster than usual. I wasn't sure that I would keep it or not since it was $200 and it seemed like I was just getting 1.5-2 hours. I'm on a business trip where I'm in a...

Multiple new Surface tablets to be unveiled on May 20th

YES!!! The Surface Gods are good to us. :) I hope there will be a Surface 3.

    Why a Microsoft Surface?

    1. Why did you buy a Microsoft Surface tablet? I've been a long time user of MS laptop/tablet PC's. For my job, Sales Engineer, I really liked that I could use the stylus while on a webex to do a remote whiteboard session. I had the Toshiba M200 and an HP TX1000 series before. While the concept...

Power Cover extends Wireless Adapter battery life?

I think this was already answered by someone else in another thread, but I can verify that the power cover will indeed charge the wireless keyboard adapter. To test this, I attached the keyboard adapter to my Touch 2 keyboard and used it until the keyboard adapter battery wore down and died...

Just had a really good Customer Support experience

I had the same experience last week. For whatever reason, my SPro2 charger stopped working. The light did not come on and I couldn't charge it. I was traveling to Montana this week so I needed to get it replaced. I went to BestBuy to get a replacement since it was closer to my home but then...

Massive problems with update to Windows 8.1B

This is hard to answer. It looks like lots of folks have had problems updating. As for me, I've updated my Surface Pro 2, my Surface RT, and my Window desktop all without any issues. I just finished updating my friends desktop also without issues. I'm really liking that Metro apps can be...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

So if this thread is pointless, then why do you keep posting? There are many other threads where your input is valued and respected. This thread is about my personal experience with an iPad user and my (and others) desire to demonstrate in a passive way how much we prefer out Surfaces'. This...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

LOL, Macmee, you crack me up. You try so hard to make it look like you have problems. Almost too hard. After reading your many posts, I wonder how much is true and how much is just.... well, you. What are you on now? Three, four returns? Two, three bank holds at $1500 each? Each return...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

Yep, I also have the PTV3000. I got it about a month or so ago and have used it at home and when traveling. Makes for a nice option to watch movies on the hotel TV rather than on the small Surface screen. It was easy to setup and works great. I did run into a stutter issue last time so I may...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

Yes, it does seem that way. Everywhere you look, iPads are used for just about everything. I hope to change that, one Surface at a time. I certainly do not want the Surface to be forgotten and will continue to do my Surface thing. I want there to be a Surface 3, 4, 5, etc. This is spot...

Has anyone else not gotten 8.1 update 1 yet?

I just installed on both my SPro2 and Desktop without issues. I really like the new features. They make Windows 8.1 easier to use.

Yes, I still don't understand why someone would keep a device that has only given them problems. The time invested in searching for fixes, applying patches, trading for new devices, getting a bad replacement, posting in forums, restoring original image, trading for new device again, getting...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

No doubt the iPad is easier to use for some. Ok, for lots not some. But I'm determined to help folks change their thinking. A month ago I had my SPro2 at an internal meeting. As I always do, I took out my SPro2 out and started doing my 'Surface' thing. A female co-worker looked over and...

On the other hand, I do have a card in mine so I can confirm that I have no problems with my microSD card. I keep mine in all the time. I use it to store movies and music. I just flew from SLC to Chicago which is about a 3 hour flight. I watched movies the entire way and I still had about 65%...

I love sitting next to folks with iPads.

Just wrapping up my Chicago trip. Didn't realize that this subject would cause so much heartburn. I was just having some fun and helping others see the value in the Surface. Obviously, I love my Surface. And for others, you obviously like your preferred device. As others have stated, the best...

    Another SP2 Mystery Update

Agreed. I have auto updates on. I apply all updates without reservation. I've only once had a problem and MS sent me a new SP2 in less than a week. I just opened Netflix and no problems at all. Works like a charm. It would be good to know why some folks are affected and others aren't.

Doing my 'Surface' thing, take 2. LOL! A toy? You are right again. It is a toy when I need it to be. I use my Surface as a toy when watching movies, playing games, surfing internet. But here is another pic with keyboard on and now in PC mode for you old dogs (new dog?) from another old dog...

Doing my 'Surface' thing. Lots of big laptops. Dell and Mac. Surface Pro flat, slim, pen out for writing notes. The questions just come naturally. No need to brag or push.
