I noticed this happening when I leave the type cover on it closed. Once I removed the type cover the extra heat went away. Maybe some heat escapes threw the screen. By the way no air vents are blocked by the docking station.
I haven't gotten a single blue screen in four months. Definitely not normal. I would open a support case with Microsoft to get this recorded. I'm sure they'll have you do a system restore. After that install your software one application at a time and watch for issues. Also look to see if...
Are people being serious or sarcastic because I see this gathering dust in the warehouse right next to the Amazon phone. I think of myself as being decently perceptive about this stuff but maybe I'm wrong.
Yeah, I think it's a mixed bag. On the positive it's very stable. I like some of the new technology added to it including the Metro UI which is really well done. It's ability to run things in split screen mode is second to none. There's just something not right about the flow of things...
Sorry if I sound a little crusty. I just got back from doing some training at Microsoft. I got into a very heated debate with some Microsoft employees about the failings of Windows 8. Their opinion is that Windows 8 is totally awesome and it was unfairly bashed by the critics who hate...
I like this new Microsoft!
On another note I think it was a major fail not to release a touch centric version of Office with Windows 8.1. If any company should know the importance of releasing a must have application with an OS it should be Microsoft. Way back when Microsoft used Office...
Running VMware Workstation in Windows 10 is going to be tricky. VMware wants you to buy workstation 11.0 so you're going to get zero support from them. I wonder if it's a drivers issue in Windows 10.
A quick search and this comes up for tlandings software.
Find the PC Settings icon. It should be in the lower left, and looks like a gear cog. If you hover the mouse pointer over it, it says "PC Settings'. Click that icon...
I think it looks like a really nice piece of hardware however Lenovo equipment never seems to be the complete package. It's too bad because I think the potential is there.
There's isn't a popular technology item that doesn't have hordes of positive and negative stories posted about them on the internet. Some dork made a video of him breaking an iPhone 6s in half and got millions of hits on his website. The only items that don't have lots of negative stories are...
My livelihood is based on getting outdated software to run on Windows boxes. So it's been great for my career. As a user though I really see it holding back the industry and ultimately could be Microsoft undoing. A non-technical person like my wife see a blurry application on my SP3 and says...
This isn't an unreliability story, this is complaint about scaling issues. Mac's have their own scaling issues. May I suggest you read this class action lawsuit regarding defective graphics cards on MacBook pro's before you cast judgment...
Regardless of the complexity Microsoft needs to find a better path for high dpi support. High dpi screens are dropping in price and becoming readly available. Legacy support is a blessing and a curse for windows. I also curse whenever I try to read anything that isn't high dpi supported...
