Poll For those keeping their Surface Pro 3 which accessories are you updating?

Once it is available in my language I'll get the keyboard. I really like the docking brick but I already have the docking station so it doesn't add anything, and even if only a few days of the pen are available I'll probably get it.

Docking station's mDP port suddenly not working

Booting up today, after having it shut down for two whole days, I couldn't get the monitor connected to the mDP port, using mDP->DP cable, to turn on. I also switched between the mDP port on the SP3 and then it worked fine. I have one monitor on each port, but now only half of that screen real...

    What is a hidden network?

You men that when you tap/click the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar on the bottom of the Wi-Fi list you see Hidden network? If that is the case someone within range has a router set to not broadcast the SSID. Nothing to worry about.

    One Note 2013 Issue (W10)

After 110 hours and 87 GB I did. Checked the backup where there were several versions of the different sections and it totaled 16 GB.

    What is a hidden network?

You have it because you've logged into it and you selected the automatic login feature. That way it will show up if you would like to connect to it again.

    One Note 2013 Issue (W10)

Running OneNote sync for 90 hours and 73 GB up and 3 GB down. Somethin ain't right.

Is it overly optimistic to expect that they rectify this?

    OneNote integration

Is Edge messing the send to OneNote feature or link to OneNotethat was available in Explorer? I know about the annotate feature (and I like it) but there I have to decide in advance what notebook to send it to. I like the dialog box with choices.

    One Note 2013 Issue (W10)

I've been running a clean sync (nothing but OneNote 2013 running) now for more than 60 hours straight with a total of 57 GB up and a little more than two down. This is seriously cracked.

    One Note 2013 Issue (W10)

Another interim problem is the time it takes for syncing notes to the cloud. I decided to close a large notebook, it is now 48 hours later and 43 GB sent to the cloud and it is still chugging along. Worst thing is it doesn't give any clue to how much is left or when I can expect it to finish.

All Surface Book models are sold out online (?)

Being sold out this long before launch might be interpreted as high demand, but for Microsoft it is bad marketing. They risk losing a lot of sales if people decide to opt for another maker's solution.

Surface Pro 3 Dock with Surface Pro 4?

The event is tailored to excite the minions, not as a consumer Q&A but Panay did mention that it will slide into the existing SP3 dock just fine despite being almost a mm thinner.

    SP4 - The missing pieces

Completely agree with zhenya, it is baffling that they didn't include USB-C, especially since they also presented a nice little docking station for Lumia utilizing USB-C.

Whoa. New "Surface Book" just shown

But 25% of capacity doesn't necessarily convert to 3 hours. GPU no longer draws power and we don't know how the screen behaves in clipboard mode. I wouldn't be surprised if 4 hours are closer to the norm.

Welcome to the new Surface Book forum

Guts that are equal or superior to anything you find in a laptop housed in the base with about similar thickness. So yes, I maintain that the Surface Book is a laptop that can do duty as a tablet, while Surface Pro is the opposite.

    Why MS doesn't offer the keyboard for SP3 & 4 ?

The connector likely doesn't have the throughput required for graphics data.

Welcome to the new Surface Book forum

SB is a laptop that can do duty as a tablet. SP4 is a tablet that can do duty as a laptop. Case closed.
