    Thanks for the update work and its success. I guess I need to dig deeper into the failure. Other updates worked before and after this one so something underlying this one on my unit is tripping it up. :-(

    its an "important" security monthly roll up. In my "travels", it appears that I haven't been able to readily find the "arm" version which leads me to believe that it might be marked in error as being applicable or MS has not completed its "makeup" for the RT.

    I have been having "fun" with my "new to me" RT. I have had problems getting apps from the store (getting the "too slow" error) so I have started from scratch a couple of times... no joy yet, although with just the base 8.1RT installed (no updates), I can get to the store and see "my apps"...

    I know this is an old thread but I thought I wold throw some info on this. I came across an RT that would not boot up (ie. screen was black). Checked the charger output... it was putting out 12v as expected and the charge light was lit. Anyway, as the OP indicated, I decided to crack open...
