I didn't see this posted but....my gf is a elementary school administrator and the entire school system is nothing but macs and ipads, Ive asked those in charge why not go with surface pro with the pen ability? seems more logical to use the pen in a learning environment and the response I got...
update, ran hd tune benchmark and the read speeds are totally screwed (erratic)- 19.4 mb/s max...bought a cheap $30 Lexar 64g and noticed a huge speed increase dumping movie files on it -benchmarked read speeds 33.2 mb/s .... write speeds on a different benchmark stated Lexar 34 mb/s Samsung...
I formatted ntfs, I moved the the videos folder location to the sd card and they do show up but refuse to play. Ive gotten alerts that the card isn't ready(like it's disconnecting) Im going to try the tape trick to see if the connection isn't solid. My next move is put the card in my phone and...
just picked up a sp3 I-5 128 and I have an annoying problem, I have a Samsung micro sd card mounted and have problems putting videos on it...They end up unplayable or corrupted, I had this exact problem with the sp2 and finally just gave up on using it. I haven't tried a different card yet and...
if you push your system at all I think you will appreciate the sp2 more than you would have the sp3, I like the sp3 form factor but until they get the heat issue fixed under load I wont touch one.
hmm I would be wondering if it's the connector on your tablet since you've had this problem twice now. Ive has zero problems with the charger and Im not careful about pluggin it in, and the finish is scratched up near the charging port
in my experience antivirus is sometimes a waste of time, I run windows defender only and if I ever run into a problem I scan with malwarebytes. Most of the sites I visit on the internet are pretty secure but at work we have Norton business and we still get viruses. Usually through a pop up that...
I would do a factory reset and then slowly load things back on and see if you run into something causing the issue. I think for ultimate computing you still need a power house desktop, for on the road imo there is nothing better for portability- computing horsepower than the surface pro line. I...
yes indeed you can game on the sp2, and from what Im seeing the sp3 gets slightly lower framerates. I can pretty much play any game from 2002 to 2005 on max settings...anything newer I lower the resolution to 720p and play around with the settings. Search youtube for surface pro gaming and you...
I had an LG bluray player/dvd burner that I purchased from best buy and it worked pretty well, thin and light weight. I rarely use discs anymore so I sold it.
The I-5 in the SP2 seems to do everything I need it to plus play some games, actually on battery I have it running at max 75% to save power. If I were planning on having it plugged in a lot I would get the I-7 but since Im all about mobility the I-5 does the job.
IMO the surface pro line is the best experience you are going to get, Ive tried dell, Lenovo,asus....That said, that doesn't mean those OEMs wont produce something that might beat the surface, but right now it's surface as #1
I don't know how I would like a tablet that is larger than the current sp2 without trying it out first but my gut says I would probably just get a laptop instead. IMO it's too early for a sp3
