the track pad on a MacBook pro is awesome for sure, I only use them when my mouse isn't around. As far as track pads on pc's one of the best is on the surface pro 3 and any Lenovo laptop. I would say that some of Lenovo's past business laptops may even surpass the mac.

my entire reason for having a surface pro is portability , much lighter than a laptop and easier to carry everyday. The surface pro 3 is as big as I want to go for a mobile device.
