Yes I've had the same experience. It has happened 2 times. a reboot would solve the issue but its annoying because I would have to do: ctrl+alt+delete to get an option to reboot. This all started to happen with build 9879. (Not good when you are trying to show off your SP3 to your friends).

Does anyone know a program that I can use to automatically dim the screen when I'm inactive for x minutes and keep my surface pro 3 on. I don't want to disable connected standby because it messes up my Wi-Fi.

Thats odd,I took ownership of mine and deleted it and had no problems at all.

The resolution is at 1440x2160 but this problem comes than goes back to normal and after a while its back again. Also sometimes the screen doesn't rotate.. sometimes the soft keyboard doesn't automatically pop up.. The last build was much better (9860).

The wifi icon is still there see picture.. the battery icon is rotated. As for screen orientation: when it switches, the screen goes black for a second and after that the screen rotates.. does anyone know how to get everything sharp again (fonts, icons etc) everything looks blurry at the moment.

There have been a lots of post regarding overheating while using chrome (fan spinning very fast). try using Internet Explorer and kill Chrome processes and see what happens. The problem occurs due to way Chrome has been programed using a old style of programing. Let us know what happens.
