OK. This is how to install Windows RT 8.1 on the Surface RT.
1. Google 'DRIVERS FOR SURFACE RT ONLY___MICROSOFT WINDOWS RT 8 1 WITH OFFICE 2013 RT RTM WOA ENGLISH DVD-WZT' and use a torrent program to download.
2. While that's downloading you need to get your current Windows RT 8.0 product...
My RT does do that sometimes but only when connected to a 5Ghz WiFI. The 2.4Ghz works fine with no issues. Don't know why it does that but it is rare it does.
That sounds very strange. Other than a IP conflict I cant work out why a Surface would do that. Its just like any other device on a network so shouldn't cause any problems. Have you tried a static IP? Hopefully someone else might have an idea.
There will be another option somewhere in your tv options to change that. On my Sony tv its called 'display area' and have options Normal, Full Pixel and -1. I have mine on Full Pixel and its perfect then.
Yes your right about my comment. However I think its only x86 and x64 ISOs that have leaked. No ARM version that I've heard of; not even sure if they exist for the RT.
Ah how annoying right in the city but only 4meg! I'm currently looking for a new house to buy and I can't help but keep thinking if the area has fibre! Its going to end up swaying my decision. Don't tell my other half that :big smile:
That's a good point about the next surface been released soon. I would bet high it will have a kick stand but this close to announcement it might be worth seeing of you can get the same case to fit all surfaces new and old.
Really? Most tvs that have a rj45 port will have DLNA support. Any tv purchased in the last few years will have one even if it doesn't have WiFi. Even then you can get cheap DLNA boxes that do the same thing. If you have a Xbox though that is defiantly the easiest way. I connect to my tv exactly...
