I would like to be able to disable the search everywhere feature. Put it back to how it was in 8.0 where it would search the currently open app. Really annoys me and never seems to work properly. So much so Ive stopped using it.

Go to the control panel (desktop), System and Security and then Flash Player at the bottom. Click the Delete All button. Then the advanced tab and click Delete All again. Try again. I have no idea if that will work but worth a try. Are you using Modern IE or desktop one?

I would certainly try another cable and adapter before returning the Surface. Try just mirroring instead of having the screen only on the TV. If the problem persist on just the TV and not the surface I would say theres a strong chance its the cable.

Do you know if there flash based games? If so there could be a problem with flash. Might be worth trying the app as well that might work better.

That's a strange one. Is the time and date correct on the Surface as that can cause certificate errors? Are you using the Facebook app or Internet Explorer?

I have watched the video and just suggested something I thought could be the cause. I have a S2 and RT and not had this issue at all apart from in certain light conditions at certain times of day. Ive tried to replicate it but can't get mine to do it.

I think it might be the lighting in your room. Have you tried anywhere else put the house?

Just upgraded from a RT to a Surface 2 (Love it so far!) but there is no option on the forum to change my device. Theres still only RT, Pro and other. We need now: RT S2 Pro S2Pro I know there isn't much difference between the models but its going to become a issue as time goes on.

Take some time to read the Help and Tips app. Will help you greatly.

Ive seen it many times. Its IE 10 and 11. Closing and restarting fixes it. Certainly not something I would worry about.

I have read bad reports about it but from experience I (and others I know that use it) have had no problems at all.

Do you use Windows Defender jnjroach? I do on all my systems and never had any issues. I recommend it to people a lot.

I do have a few problems with SkyDrive but there few and far between. I do have more problems with uploading new files than anything else though. This happens on Windows 7 and 8 so I do think its a SkyDrive issue as opposed to Windows.

The RT is much more secure than x86 systems because no .exe files can run at all. Windows Defender still picks up virus even though there not harmful to Windows RT but like FFX mentioned it could get to another system and infect that. I like the fact Windows Defender works this way. Can't say...

Do you have another keyboard to try or a store you could go to? I had a issue like this and it turned out to be software issue and a reinstall of Windows fixed it.

Although I haven't tested that one any other tablet Id say that is a issue for all touch screen devices and should be something the website fixes.

The way the Surface chooses a WiFi network is not something we can configure. Its Microsoft that needs to change it. I choose the simply have a separate WiFi network for the 5GHz band and only connect my 5GHz devices to it. Works great.

Microsoft can send you a new Surface before you send your old one back so there is no down time other than reinstalling updates and apps. Still an annoyance I know but I very much doubt the battery will be much worse after a year. My RT actually lasts longer now than it did when I purchased it...
