Not as secure as having it fully disabled in the UEFI settings. I find it quite odd that there isn't a slider to disable the SD card along with the other hardware settings like cameras and Bluetooth you can disable with in the UEFI settings Truly a bizarre omission. .

I have found that the MSI does not install the dGPU driver for me. I see everything else except the NVIDIA working in device manager. I had to download the zip file and install the dGPU driver from that download separately.

I will try the MSI next week and see what happens.

If they designed it to not have enough space for both cables to be connected at the same time, that must be their way of passively saying it doesn't work. They certainly can't expect Surface Book owners to shave the cables to get them connected.
