Apple controls pretty much everything and people have pretty much only whatever option is given to them.
MS can't control all the other hardware providers and people have a lot of choice. Granted I was expecting the SP3 to be the reference design of a perfectly working device, they still...
This is such a sore issue with me! Rather than rant about it, if you just need internet access, create an internal VM switch in hyper-v.
You will see this VM internal in View Network Connections of your SP3. On your wifi connection, enable internet connection sharing TO the VM Internal card...
Holy you guys are going to make me freak out about my SP3 lol. I just noticed mine is the same. Must be just the plastic as mentioned... it lays super flat on a table!
For my past few computers, I always make a point of to ensure getting the matching travel charger and then one for home. It's all I need. I would get another one if I'm in a specific place a long time.
Based on that, buy the SP3 now, life too short spent waiting for stuff :) Ok, the SP4 might not have any fans, on battery, I find the SP3 fan doesn't come on much anyhow. Either way, it's already pretty amazingly light, and really nice to use.
Ya I use hyper-v and lost connected standby and sleep. Don't really care though, my power manager now allows me to turn off the screen after like 1 min idle if I wanted to. This is how I like it though, screen off with things humming along as usual.
Hmm neat... energizer I opened, the metal flashing is not attached to battery but that rectangular piece. Also your positive end is showing a lot bigger and protrudes more. maybe putting some foil at the tip will help reach properly.
I just tore apart an energizer 9V.... what little flat metal connector? right now it seems like the positive end is not tall enough to touch the right part of the pen or something.
