    i3 SP3 Anandtech early review

Yep... which lend further credence to the somewhat controversial opinion that the i7 is gonna be almost for naught. It's all fine and dandy that it can ramp up to higher clocks and has a "somewhat" faster GPU...but if it's sitting there throttle down to keep the thing from melting... exactly...

So...has the SP3 replaced your laptop?

There is no way that the SP3 will be able to keep up with the rMBP in terms of top end computing (i.e. Heavy Gaming, Big Boy Virtualization, CAD/3D Design, etc.). That being said however, the SP3 is perfectly capable of doing everything at least 95% of the computing population would ever need...

    Docking station please come soon!

The SP3 dock is nothing like the SP1/SP2 dock... I think it'd be wise to wait and see if it will have the same issues or not. It's pretty clear that the additional connectors found around the power connector are going to be used for something...

    Docking station please come soon!

I'm waiting for my dock too... With the SP3's incompatibility with Cisco EAP-FAST at the moment... it's a requirement in my office.

So...has the SP3 replaced your laptop?

I've on occasion used a portable USB power bank to supply juice when cable management became an issue. Once again... not ideal, but an idea that does work in certain situations.

So...has the SP3 replaced your laptop?

It works, but would be much more useful if it there were readily available Y-Cable with the extra power connection at least as long as the mag connector cable from the power brick. It can be pulled off with a Male to Female USB extension, but it's not "elegant" IMHO. Azure IaaS is a fine...

SP2 Owners: Satisfied or Regret Upgrade to SP3

I don't know... I'd say it's among the best TABLET based keyboards out there. Is it a "real" replacement for a good full size or even a good real laptop keyboard? I don't know anyone in their right mind that would make that statement. But seriously... Have you ever used one of those craptastic...

So...has the SP3 replaced your laptop?

As much as I do agree with this approach, I do feel it's untenable in many situations. Most Y adapters are rather short on the end where you'd need to plug into the SP3 power brick, so you'd need to be within arms length of a plug to make it happen without purchasing yet another cable which...

Travel Case for Surface Pro 3

Has anyone here tried this one? http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Generation-Exclusive-Available-Wanpex/dp/B00LBFWOCA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_11?ie=UTF8&refRID=021FCRVWMPJBC876ZTM2 I had a similar Manvex case for my SP1 and I really liked it personally. However, I'm hesitant to get one for the SP3...

    Pen backup

I ordered one as well, but the item that arrived was clearly previously opened and not "New". The pen also seemed to behave very erratically in use, sometimes skipping entire portions of letters as I wrote. Perhaps I received a bunk pen, so I'm returning and trying another, but if this is...

    July 16 WiFi Firmware Update

Not able to speak to the quality of my network connection with any certainty yet, but one thing I have noticed is that my Bluetooth mouse now seems to lose connection if I let the SP3 go to sleep and that did now happen before...

Metro Apps on second external monitor

You can also drag Metro apps from the left hand application swipe-in and drop them on the monitor that you wish them to appear on.

    My Mobile Office

Yep. That's the one, but I got mine from NewEgg a while back. It's really been a great portable monitor. I did have to change to a Targus Pewter 16" backpack to carry it though, but it fits perfectly in there and the surface fits fine in the tablet slot of the backpack.

    SP3 MicroSD Card Recommendations

I've got that 128GB SanDisk in my SP3 from literally day one and have ZERO issues with it. It's awesome being able to store all of the docs that I might want to take with me should I ever depart from the SP3 easily by just removing the card.

I see a C&D letter coming from Nintendo in MS' future... :)

As I was troubleshooting undervolting my SP3, I noticed this message in my event log... I'm waiting for Mario and Luigi to come rescue my Surface Pro 3 now!

Undervolting Boost Performance by 20% reduce heat and noise

I guess I "could" disable connected standby as the system is most certainly stable in other operation other than when it tries to enter connected standby. I don't know...I actually think it's just better to use the per-app profiles and be done with it that way (win/win).

    AC Router Worth It?

I'm gonna wait until the price of that thing drops a bit. 300's a lot to drop on something like that right outta the gate.

Undervolting Boost Performance by 20% reduce heat and noise

I just can't recommend doing this on a system-wide basis if my SP3 is any indication. I've dialed it all the way back to -30mV but I get consistent crashes/reboots when the system tries to enter connected stand by. Are others noting the same behavior? This might be better done on a per-app basis.
