I'm so sorry to hear of other folk's troubles with the SP3 dock. I preordered one as soon as they were available to purchase and mines been absolutely trouble-free thus far. It really makes my office a truly productive workplace in combination with the SP3.

Sacrilege or not...the only trackpad that I use on a consistent basis is the one on my MacBook Pro.

I've had this happen before as well and the only way I was able to resolve it was to do a hard reset on the SP3.

Can you give the device the two-finger salute and see if it still does this? In other words, fully power the device off by holding the volume up and power/sleep button for several seconds.

Oh well. I haven't tried to load it on my SP2 so I wouldn't know if it's buggy or not (what version of AnyConnect isn't "buggy" by the way). Hope it's not dinging you too bad...

I had this exact issue and I am typing to you now on a replacement device. Now I'm wondering if there's not some firmware bug going on here...

Hmmm... 3.1.05182 is the latest release I believe and they fixed quite a few SP3 specific bugs between your version and then. I'd try to get a hold of it and give it a try... Who knows...might work.

What version of AnyConnect?

I feel the same. I can understand the frustration of trying to use the Modern/Touch/Metro interface with just a keyboard and mouse, but on a real touchscreen device like the Surface Pro line...it just worked. Now it seems like we're going backward in terms of touch usability. Perhaps continuum...

I've got it running on my SP2 and it installed without a hitch. Defaulted to the new style Start Menu and not the Start Screen...ok. Well... It's live now and I'm downloading the preview right now. Says that it replaces the recovery partition on the machine...so no going back on whatever you install it on (without jumping through hoops at least).

Nope. In fact, it would do this even without the type cover attached. It's not a huge deal to me, but I just thought it was interesting to see it happen.

Notice any earth shattering differences? I'm still on the fence... I think about doing the swaparoo thing every now and then, but I just don't know how much more it would really buy me.
