Windows 10 on Surface Pro 2

Oh, believe me...I've left a ton of feedback through the tool. I've seen a few odd behaviors like Cortana getting kinda stuck, dialog boxes not clearing, etc. Like I said...I'm still holding out some hope that they make continuum what I thought it was going to be... More Win8/8.1ish for tablet...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

The automatic brightness seems to be working fine on my SP2...

Windows 10 on Surface Pro 2

I haven't had a great number of issues out of the latest preview build, but I'm still not diggin Win10 from a tablet perspective. Every time I have to do something that is truly "tablet"-like on the SP2 under Windows 10 it feels like a "step backward" to me. I'm holding onto hope that they bring...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

I used Win8/8.1 in the dock just as much if not more and never had any issues doing so. I don't think anyone is saying that they haven't made improvements to the interface from the perspective of desktop functionality. But tell me, what "improvements" are there in the current version's "tablet...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

I just really would like to know why one would even want to keep MUI apps around if they're "windowed" anyway... Is that like a vegan burger or an honest politician? I mean... I thought that was one of the whole flippin' points behind them in the first place...do one thing at a time and do it in...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Yep... I'm just holding out all hope that MS doesn't screw the touchscreen pooch with this "update". They better have some better UI design ahead in the near future or like all the folks forever strapped to a mouse and keyboard were hanging onto Win7 for dear life...I'll be doing the same with...

    Help with stylus

I had bought this one when it was available: http://www.amazon.com/Fujitsu-Digitizer-replacement-Stylus-T5000/dp/B00791UTH2 It's been great and it's my everyday stylus now...

To Surface Pro 3 (or wait)

I've been running exclusively Macs at my house right up until the Surface line came out. Once I got a hold of one...I was hooked. If you really "get" pen based computing, I think it's tough to go back. I know I've posted on it before, but I really liked the concept back when MS first tried to...

    OneNote 2013 issues

AVG breaks all kinds of stuff. For instance, there is a known issue where the Outlook add-in will cause received emails to show up absolutely empty. You get the preview... but the email itself is blank. The more crap I see broke with AVG...the more I want to vertical file it.

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Try this well optimized routine :-D Touch or click on the battery icon...then "Adjust screen brightness"...then on the very bottom of the Power Options window you will see a scroller for Screen brightness. Usability enhancements at their best :-)

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Who's holding on to "seeing the world" any certain way? It's a tablet...you drive with a finger...why in the world would I care about what you do with a mouse that you have to plug in? Have you tried "scrolling" with the pen? Don't think it'll work out like you think it should... Look, like I...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Maybe not necessarily "miserable" (at least I hope it's not for most), but certainly inevitable. Father time's still undefeated :-)

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

It doesn't matter if scrolling up and down makes sense to someone or not...the fact is that millions (I don't know...maybe billions by now seeing how touchscreen smartphone far far far outpace PCs) of folks are quite used to side scrolling to get to apps. I don't see any great advance in this...

Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

All I've got to say is that if this is "continuum", then I'm sorely disappointed. Still feel forced to use Chrome because of lack of touch support in non-Metro IE. Taskbar still sucks up valuable real estate and auto-hide behavior is enough to lead one to tears. Don't really care what much of...

New Version of Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client Solves Return From Sleep Issues

Previously, with Version 3.X of the AnyConnect client, when I woke my Surface Pro in the morning (or after any time long enough to go to deep sleep states for that matter...) the AnyConnect client would report an error and die. I'd have to restart the front end of the utility and most times it...

    Surface Pro 3 and MicroSDXC

Not to get off-topic too much or anything, but is there really any compelling reason not to prefer OneDrive over DropBox at this point? 2GB file size limitation? Is there something else?

    Surface Pro 3 and MicroSDXC

I think I do remember DropBox being a pain in the arse... I agree that the VHD method will work, but I'm pretty certain that I've had it work with an NTFS Junction as well. If you want to get it accomplished without a trip to the command line, I think this guy's program will handle it for you...

    Surface Pro 3 and MicroSDXC

Yep... I keep my OneDrive folder on the SD Card too (although it's getting too big for its own britches these days)... the same way: (Way off topic I know...) What's the real kicker is that this is nigh impossible to pull of on a MacBook Pro running Yosemite and the latest version of...

Windows 10 on Surface Pro 2

I've been running W10 since it was released for download on my SP2 and I concur with TPadden. Something got borked in the last update and it's been super flaky since then. I've sent some feedback through the tool...but you never really know what gets read and actually looked at.
