    Bike Speed and Cadence App

Could you elaborate on what you are looking for? I have a Garmin and the MapMyRide.com site shows my stats for speed and cadence.

When is it the Surface and when is it Windows 10?

Hardware either works or it doesn't work. You can't break a piece of hardware that would then make a Toolbar disappear. Therefore, it is a software issue. Software includes Windows 10 and Office. This may be extreme, but I guarantee, if you reset Windows and reinstall Office it will be better.

Pen often already starts drawing when just close to screen, not only on touching it.

Yes, it is the pen that calculates whether it is touching the screen and then sends that info to the Surface. Resetting the pen battery will usually fix it.

Recall makes the Surface Pro 3 worthless

Because MS itself states that power cords are eligible based on a purchase date prior to mid 2015. The trouble is that they are only approving original cords purchased with the Surface, which is crap. If someone purchased a power supply separately, and it is defective then it should apply. I'm...

SP4 with 4GB RAM Photoshop Elements?

My SP3 I5 with 4GB RAM runs Photoshop CC perfectly. I was editing a 30+ layer, 320MB PSD file yesterday with no hiccups.

Microsoft's iPhone & Android Keyboard is Very Innovative

My opinion? At first glance the pivot feature doesn't outway the inefficiency of space.

Surface Pro 4, Galaxy Tab Pro S, or iPad Pro

Personally, I would go for the Surface Pro just for the better keyboard, accurate pen and kickstand.

Can't install new software- says installer already running

Actually, he said he would try Turning it Off and back On again. To a non technical user this could mean pressing the power button (screen off) and then again (screen on). Which certainly is not a reboot. Turning off random backround services is not recommended either.

Can't install new software- says installer already running

Wow, a Refresh (forcing to reinstall all software) seems excessive for a background service that wouldn't shut down. Just Restart the machine. Dont turn it off and on, go to Power -> Restart.

Disabled connected standby, now sleep no longer an option.

Writing to your SSD in general eventually kills SSDs, so should we not use our SPs? Hibernation is no worse than simply using your drive normally. It's an old wives tale that writing to the same file on an SSD will shorten it's life. SSDs detect bad blocks over their life and relocate them...

HOW INVESTED ARE YOU IN MS PRODUCTS?

I suppose you are right. Although it could be argued that, unlike Apple, MS built its brand on making software that runs on any hardware, so any comparison is not really equal. If MS made desktops and laptops (at competitive prices) I would have had a lot more MS products.

HOW INVESTED ARE YOU IN MS PRODUCTS?

Been with Microsoft since DOS 2.01 and Flight Sim 1.0. I have many (3 desktops and 2 servers) with Windows, plus a SP3. I used to own an IPAQ PDA (2003) and my last windows phone was a Touch Pro, after that debacle I switched to Android.

    Unable to get Bitlocker working

You do realize that using a Microsoft account does not actually store anything on the cloud by default. It simply uses Microsoft to authenticate logging into your pc.

turns on in bag during sleep??

Connected devices are one of the main culprits for waking up a Windows machine. If you have anything bluetooth/usb (pen, mouse etc) they could be waking it up. A mouse especially will keep it awake. Other than that it could be software related.

Surface Pro 3 showing no life signs - like a brick

Did you try a hard reset with the power cord attached? Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.

Running Win7 on a SP3 w/ Win10 as secondary OS - is a Win7 VM the best way to go?

Can I ask why you aren't just running those "work activities" under Win7 Compatibility mode in Win10? Seems like a huge resource hog (and very inefficient) to run a VM of Windows when you already have Windows.

Win 10 - Outlook constantly needs fixing

Couple things. 1) You are talking about the "Mail" App. Outlook, which is a part of Microsoft Office doesn't have this issue. 2) This bug has been reported. If you go to the Microsoft Feedback site it is mentioned there many times.
