    Surface dock without keyboard

I use the Compass for my travel monitor (nicely portable) and naturally tried it out with the Surface Book clipboard. Compass holds the clipboard fine in landscape but portrait is not recommended, very 'tippy' and unstable. Also, too unstable to use touch properly in portrait or landscape, you...

Anybody know if this will work with the Surface Book?

Don't exactly "need" it for File History, you can actually use any kind of external or even the internal drive with a bit of configuration but to my mind this is the best solution. 1) Using the internal drive is a problem if the drive goes south, sure I have my backup in the cloud and the...

Sleeve, case, bag for Surface Book recommendations

My wife and I are nomads and travel a lot on planes, trains and automobiles. For years I've found the best combination to be a nicely padded sleeve and a good, (also) padded technology backpack. My wife used an Amazon Basics sleeve like the one pictured above but we both thought the padding was...

    Travel monitor

Thanks arcirekt. I've had no problems with my Asus breaking but I keep it in the same carry on backpack as my laptop (surface, iPad, etc) with a sleeve over it's own case. The GeChic 15" sounds pretty good, IPS would be nice. I'll check it out

    Travel monitor

Considered it but I just like the ergonomics of having two displays right in front of my face. My current Asus actually works nicely with the SB, no muss no fuss, but I just thought I'd see if anyone is working on a similar set up with a different monitor

    Travel monitor

Here's one for the road warriors... I like to use a second monitor but I move around a lot and have my office in a backpack. For some time now I've used an Asus MB168b attached to my laptop. It's a usb monitor so it gets power and signal through the usb port. Not the greatest resolution...

    A couple of power questions

Terima kasih Sharpcolorado! I spend most of my time bouncing around on the Peninsula but love East Malaysia too. Thanks for the reassurance and I think in that case I will pick up the 65 watt brick.

    A couple of power questions

New to the forum and I've got a couple of questions re batteries and power. I picked up an i5 256 SB without gpu (great for my needs, writing, browsing and Dreamweaver primarily). For the curious, so far the Book has been running fine with only a couple of minor issues, no show stoppers for me...
