Well, I am on 14385 on my SP3. It does seem rather stable. Battery life unknown as it is too early to make a call. Typing on this site sucks. There is a lag of some sort - this is on Edge. I have three extensions which may or may not be the cause. This lag does not happen elsewhere - so it could...
I really wish/ hope MS does come out with a S3 successor. If they don't while I will upgrade to the SP5 (from my current SP3), I may have to consider the iPad though I would really not like to.
It works fine - not only with the SP3 but also with the S3. As the poster before me said, repair and/ or check the batteries of the pen. And, while you are at it, you may as keep some of those batteries in reserve too. Good luck!
I use my SP3 (i5/4GB/128GB) as my main computing device. This means I use the following everyday: Office (principally Word, PPT and Excel), some apps - like OneNote, Readit, MoneyControl, and some news apps. With BT and WiFi on all the time and with brightness (on battery set at 30%), I find...
Hi...
I just wanted to say thank you!!!!
I was busy so I could not do this earlier, but I just ran through the instructions through that link you posted. And, now the app works.
Well, I just checked, the Pen is NOT paired to the SP3. It is paired however to the S3. I again unpaired and repaired it. Still the same outcome as the attachment in the above post....:(((
Wow! Really? OK. I'll unpair it from the SP3 and see how it goes. Thanks.
But its kind of odd isn't it? Should it not be the case that though one critical accessory cannot operate on two devices simultaneously, it should be discoverable (which on BT it is) by both devices and a common app...
Hi all,
I am running into a bit of a problem here with my S3 and the new Pen that was released with the SP4. I bought that to use with my S3.
It works well on Word 2016, Drawboard PDF and OneNote which are the apps where I use the Pen the most.
But I noticed something odd. The Surface App...
Well, I have hesitated to go down the hosts file option though the ads are killing me (+10 for ad-blocking in Edge) and the SP3 does get warm on some sites and situations. Tweaking the registry? You mean to throttle?
Yeps, that flight mode thing - I checked. I have that problem too. Not really a bother, but one knows it is there!
Otherwise though, I do find that this update most definitely has quickened the S3 and the SP3.
Edit: About that not charging business on the S3 - I experienced that only once...
I just received - as I am sure you folks have - a slew of W10 updates on my SP3 (and S3). Details here: Windows 10 update history - Windows Help
I must say that Edge seems much faster than before. And, one other thing: I notice my SP3 running a trifle cooler (by touch) than what it used to...
Hi Jeff, yes, it was, but I fixed it.
I fixed it by putting US Eng as the display language while keeping the region etc with UK Eng. That fixed the problem and now on my S3, I have exactly what you have posted above. So, all's good! Thanks!
Sorry to revive an old thread, but i am facing an odd situation. That icon that you refer to shows up in Cortana on my SP3, but not on my S3, which happens to be running the same version of the OS (no Insiders builds involved on either machine). Any ideas?
