Long story short, Google dropped support for Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) connections in early 2013 and that's why the Calendars won't sync. But email and contacts do. It's stupid.
I spent a bit of time figuring this out earlier today because when you search on this topic, a lot of the...

Squiggly is the perfect word. Granted i don't have the best handwriting, but this n-trig pen makes it look worse. Too squiggly. And i don't think this is a defect, it's putting ink down exactly where it thinks the pen tip is and the smaller you write the more tiny imperfections in tracking...
Check your local Best Buy. For people who pre-ordered it, the last day they can pick it up is today.
So if someone doesn't pick theirs up today it'll go back on the shelf.
At the very least it's worth a call, might get lucky.
It's not the magnification, it's the fact that Chrome doesn't support HiRes displays... any of them. The code is there though, you just need to hack it a bit. It's super-easy and totally reversible. Still, not sure if that's proper to post on these forums so send me a PM if you want the...
Yeah, what is up with Chrome on the SP3? It looks horrible. Is it having issues with the high resolution?, or the desktop scaling?, or maybe it's the combination of the two?
UPDATE: I found a fix for Chrome... it works perfectly and Chrome is gorgeous now. But it is a bit of a hack and i...
I like this one too, even though it doesn't include the SD Card Reader. Anyone have it? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CKIFPQY/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2KUZVNQ9LP7N9
Looks a bit more professional and it's a bit cheaper.
So if you unplug it, does it shut down immediately?
If so, it's definitely defective. Not a big deal, these things happen. I'd return it immediately and get a replacement.
I learned quickly, when using the pen for input, the trick is to get it close to the screen and keep it close, that way the palm input is disabled and you don't get a lot of frustrating input. It's not hard, just have to train your hand.
On my previous Win 7 HP Tablets, i always disabled touch...
Awesome, on my way there right now!
Update. Much better when just browsing around in Windows. But to be honest, i am truly impressed with the touch input in Win 8.1. Not just Metro but the Desktop too. It seems almost as precise as the pen!
But it didn't seem to help in OneNote (the full...
I bought that one too. It is a perfect fit.
Quick question: is it a bad idea to leave the SP3 inside and zipped up when it's suspended? Will it get too hot in that neoprene? thanks.
Right-click the desktop -> Personalize. It's one of the default themes.
I thought i'd seen a blue version of it that i liked, but unlike the other included wallpapers that one does not change color when you adjust the 2 color sliders. Too bad.
I ended up just using the bluish hot-air balloon...
And the Amazon.com: Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse (H3S-00003): Electronics is down to $23 on Amazon, free shipping if you add another item or two to get it up to $35.
5.11 Tactical All Hazards Nitro | Official 5.11 Site
Just got it last week because my old Ogio Metro (which i loved to death) was ripping at the bottom and the handle. All the 5.11 backpacks are fantastic, pricey, and totally worth it. Shop around though and you'll find them on sale often...
For UPS, you can change it to "Will Call Pick-Up", skip the delivery man entirely, and just pick it up when they open. Or maybe you'd have to wait till they call and say it can be picked up?, not sure. Either way it's probably faster.
That's the one that i purchased. It says it also fits a 11.6" Chromebook, so maybe that's a good criteria to search for. It hasn't arrived yet.
I actually bought it off ebay from the SAME EXACT COMPANY but if you include shipping it was cheaper:
