Ah ha! I had the graphics ratio limit at X25. Changed it back to default - problem solved. Now to see what this can do real world wise!

Changing the profile to default got my MHz up. I guess this means we shouldn't undervolt the GPU?

I'm running the graphics stress test now and nothing over 599 :(

Is the Graphics Frequency ever supposed to go over 599 MHz? How? Mine has only done it once. Highest recorded is 628.

Running full Windows and its programs are more desirable to me than apps. To me, the SP3 can get actual work done whereas Android tablets are just consumption devices that can do a little work. I love the look of the SP3 and its functionality. You seem like aesthetics are higher on your list...

It's only happened after a processor heavy task that has heated up the i7 SP3 - the fan continues to run well after the system has cooled. Opening task manager shows CPU at 99% for a second or two then it drops down and fan relents also. Weird.

I don't think it's a system process. I will agree that something is off after the update. Opening task manager to inspect immediately causes CPU usage to go down which in turn makes the fan die down. Not sure what is happening but the behavior is different after the update.

Yes the power cover will not cover your whole SP3. It shouldn't make much difference for functionality but could be aesthetically unappealing to you.

What are the questions you have about the SP3 ManUnited? I don't have a Mac to compare it to (I do have a Hackintosh laptop) but I'll give a go at answering any questions you have.

If you use Adobe CC 2014 or 3D applications that use Open GL, the SP3 will report the driver incompatible with your gfx card and revert to software for hardware acceleration. With these drivers installed, the aforementioned software will use the OpenCL features of the intel HD 5000.
