You don't have to wait if you're willing to install the 8.1 Preview Release. There is an upgrade path on the RT so you won't have to reinstall everything with the Final Release comes out.

Glad to hear you got it working again. Do you think the problem may be related to the hack you used to get the preview installed? I took a chance and shut mine down, and it restarted normally.

Russ, I haven't seen anything yet about 8.1 bringing back the Start button, a major selling feature for Start8. If that is truly the case I think Stardock will still have its fair share of customers.

That would explain its absence then as I don't have a WP8.
