I've upgraded all the computers in our home to Win10. There are some elements I liked better in Win7 and Win8, but for our household the pros are outweighing the cons. The "free" part was part of my decision-making process, of course. :-)

I just upgraded my SP3, still waiting for notification for my desktops.

I think this one is on Intel. When I set up my desktop PC using the Vizio as a second monitor (HDMI cable from NVidia GTX760 to Vizio) I am able to adjust for overscan in the graphics properties.

I searched through this thread and can't see that anybody has asked this yet: Do you have a 1080i television? There is a well documented issue with Intel graphics and interlaced (rather than progressive scan) sets. I discovered this myself when hooking up to my 1080i Vizio TV.

I have an HP Stream 7 that will be my test bench for Win10, and once it looks like they've dealt with the major issues I'll upgrade the SP3.

I think I'm pretty close to that percentage but I should have mentioned that I have a desktop that's used exclusively for content creation when I'm not on the road. Without the desktop I'd probably be closer to 50/50 (ballpark guess).

Most of the time. I only use "laptop" mode when I'm doing content creation (usually when on the road doing work type stuff). I'm in portrait tablet mode when reading magazines (all my subscriptions are electronic now), and landscape tablet mode when watching movies while I exercise, surfing...

I too have the same model, and it's amazing. I think you're going to be very happy with it.

I had a touch cover with my RT, and even though the type cover offered a better typing experience I thought the touch cover was amazing. Typing on it was better than typing on the tablet screen, and it just plain felt better to my hands when it was folded back for couch surfing.

What irogos said. I purchased my SP3 at Best Buy and purchased the extended warranty from Microsoft. They make it simple.
