Despite the Surface Pen showing up OK under Bluetooth (Device Manager), I get an error when pairing:

Actually, I just paired my iphone and it shows "Connected" I also see that I have two more driver errors under "Other devices": MAP MAS-iOS and Wireless iAP.

That will likely be the next step, though a PITA.

I tried two pens, same problem with both.

So far just mine affected.

I have tried to install KB2968599 several times both manually and via Windows Update. That doesn't seem to be the issue. I'm really out of ideas, and will just leave it with MS to see if they come back with anything useful.

I have other Bluetooth drivers working. I can see the pen and try to pair, it just fails to pair with "driver error"

Yes, "Bluetooth LE Service" has no driver. Shows up when I try to pair the pen. Tried everything to get it working, so did MS. Hopefully they can fix it next week. Also have the ethernet driver show up as a problem in DM when docked.

I installed AV and VPN. We do have policies but those should not prevent driver install. I'm also a local admin on the Surface.

It just had Windows and Office when I got it, so just the basics. Still didn't pair.

Tried that, so did the MS Tech.

Similar issue with me, first pen chewed through two sets of coin cell batteries in a few days. MS sent me a new pen, that doesn't work either. Frustrating.

I didn't do the initial build, one of my company IT techs did. We can't image it, no image for the surface yet. We have a few test machines and if it goes well then we will have a broader deployment (and an image).

I'll try removing AV and VPN. I have a lot of software installed now, it replaced my laptop at work so need it to do my job.

I have tried every combination of power options, including making my own power profile. Regardless of what I set things to, the screen turns off after 3 min. This is a pain when I'm on webex sessions and watching the screen but not interacting with the device.
