Exactly. Anyone who thinks otherwise is uneducated on the sad state of the web. Too many websites are insecure and easily compromised with obfuscated code that can lead to exploits and malware. Just follow a few security people on Twitter or security blogs. It's in the news on a daily basis.

I've used Kaspersky for over 10 years and never had anything get past it. ESET is good too. AVG started bundling adware/crapware with the free version.

I agree with the recommendation for Malwarebytes. Shopper Pro is an adware app that can change system settings and cause ad pop ups, track browsing etc. You might be able to remove it through Programs in the Control panel, but some of those browser add ons are stubborn and don't want to leave...

I use the pen loop most of the time. Works for me so far.
